Think my washer is stuffed. It lets some water out then nothing and when it tries to spin it just does not play. it washes fine but then on the last rinse plays the beep game I go to look at it and its not off balance it lets some water out and then nothing at all. even if i keep turning it on and off no luck it lets a bit of water out then sits there, Hubby lay it on it's side and looked at the diverter thing and it was not blocked. Any ideas? it is a few years old but has just given up and we can not afford a new washer right now:( this is the washer featured in the problems and my son had the same issue he took his to be fixed and they told him it was the control pannel and he would be better getting a new machine.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry if this is a silly question but have you checked the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter? So many (intermittent) 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside. Has to be worth doing.
Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C

LG topload washer skips the rinse cycle. Washer fills, washes, drains, spins just fine. But instead of refilling for rinse cycle, it just spins for last 20 mins. Rinse & spin only cycle works fine.

Try changing temperature settings. It might be that one of your water valves is not working. As an example, if you are washing on warm, then the hot will work, but not the cold as it tries to mix the two, but you will still get water to correct level. But if it's trying to rinse on cold only and the cold valve isn't working, you get no water. So play around with settings and see if you can find the issue. A valve is pretty easy to replace and inexpensive. Check out videos on YouTube or repairclinic.com or appliancepartspros.com. Let us know how it all works out.

No water inside washer

Does the water run right through the machine? There must be a way to let it stop inside and do what it is supposed to do. Have you tried to put it on the programme to empty all water? Then I think I would try to let is wash the shortest programme( no washing in the machine) At last let it spin You have before of course checked that all plugs are where they should be, that the water is on, the machine is closed. In the back of your washer their should be a
diagnostic
manual behind the top cover. this manual will show you how to test the motor.
if the motor does not work. your motor control board is faulty. if you look closly at the board , you will see a burnt componet, that means you will need a upgraded board and unfortunely you will need in new motor to go with it.
it cost me around $230. has been working for 2 years with no other problems.
I found the parts on line. if you need help to find it , let me know, and when i get back home next week i will send it to you.
Good luck.
