That's the battery number for the watch also known as the #377. It's the most common watch battery in the world. Your model number is located at the bottom of the dial (face) below the six-o'clock position. You will need a 10 power jeweler's loupe or magnifying glass to see it and read it. Jot down the number and contact Elgin directly (MZ Berger Co,) for the extra links.

I have the sr626sw pc33 and I can find no information on this watch. Particularly the band, can it be replaced? And if so,How? I really hope I can get some answers

Could you comment with photos of where the strap fixes to the watch body? Unless it is a very specialist watch there are usually two methods of connecting a watch strap.
The most common is a spring loaded pin that slots through the end of the strap and pushes out into dimples on the inside of the two 'legs' the strap sits between. You can remove these by hooking the rib on one end of the pin with a micro screwdriver and compress the spring to hook it out. *NOTE* These pins have strong springs so be prepared for it to launch itself across the room.
The second type tends to be more common on metal watch bands where there is a drift pin you need to push out to drop the band like removing a link out of the strap. Your best getting a watch repairer to do this as you often need a specialist tool to do it.
Hope this helps.

I need a new band for my Elgin wrist watch. Fg8030. Cannot find anything on the web.

You can take your watch to your local Walmart and find a matching band and using the little like eye glass screw driver and remove the pins with out bending them and put a new band on

Put a screw driver in the hole on the clasp. It shouls flip up and then you can slide the clasp up and down the watch band.

Watch band links.

you would have to either have custom links made or buy a whole new band to be made the links pop out by pins and then shortened placed this way back together
but if you dont have extra links buying longer band is your better sollution cause creating a link or 2 to fits can be costly
