Hello Tessty,

The Paper Jam message may appear on the display if the Brother machine is not feeding paper correctly, paper scraps stucked or the paper is not loaded properly in the paper tray, the jam clear cover located in the back of the machine, is not installed properly or the PE Actuator is missing or damaged.

My printer keeps saying there is a paper jam and makes a funny click-click-click noise when I repower it.

There is probably something jamming the cog's that feed the rollers and paper,

If you cant see anything such as a paper jam, then try flipping the printer upside down, and give it a gentle shake.

It's surprising how many times a paperclip or something has fallen into the opening or paperpath of a printer.

Good Luck

I keep getting a "paper jammed" message, but there

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

Hi, I had a piece of paper get really really jammed and then tore when I tried to pull it out from the back. (The trauma had actually torn it already.) Now the printer makes a funny noise like something...

It is possible that there is still something stuck. From your disciption of what happen it is more likely the sensor have gotten messed up and there's not much you can do. If you are adventures you can try to tear into the printer and see if the sensor has gotten bent or shifted out of place. If not sorry better to just get new printer.

My brother dcp-560cn keeps jamming and making noises as if it is destroying itself have cleared all paper from jam and it still jams why is this

Step 1
Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.
Step 2
Turn off the printer.
Step 3
Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
Step 4
Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
Step 5
If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.
Step 6
If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
Step 7
If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though.
Step 8
Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
Step 9
If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Inspect the paper path once again.

I have infoprint 1125 that shows 202 paper jam, but no jam

Usually it is the white roller that is going bad in the tray. These are easy to replace - but fragile. They have a small clip that may break if you push it to hard. If you dont have a replacement - try cleaning them real well. If that doesnt work - you can take it off and remove the "tire" part and put it back on inside out. It fits funny but works if no parts are available.... All the rollers are the same for almost all printer like this.

I had the same problem. I called HP and went through the steps they had asked me to go through to fix it. It took about an hour. Nothing worked. They offered me a replacement. I said no, and they offered me a $150 gift card for Staples.

Canon MX300 Paper Jam

I have the same problem - every time I turn on my printer now, the alarm signal shows up with "Paper jam" but when I check for jammed paper, there is none. So I think there's something faulty with the printer. Is there any way to reset it? I've looked everywhere but can't find it.
