Olympia Mastertype 3 Typewriter

My typewriter is not typing correct letters on keys pressed. The Print Wheel locks in correctly.

the typewriter does everything but type, the key makes a beep noise but does not print the letter onto the paper. Have read the manual but cannot find the answer

The typewriter types different characters than the keys hit in all pitches. The daisy wheel says pica 10. How can I get the typewriter to type the correct keys for that pitch?

Be sure the pitch selection is correct. If it is set to PS when using a 10,12 or 15 pitch wheel it will select incorrect letters.

How can i use the eraser?

I'm not sure exactly what your problem is but if you type a wrong letter press the correction key on the R. side. The key has a "X" inside an arrow pointing left.

Go to NADIST.com click on current models one of the Nakajimas will be the same as yours.

Typewriter types different letters and symbols when pressing ALL the keys to type. How do I reset it to the original setting?

The pitch selector switch on the L. side of the keyboard should be in 10 or 12 not PS. Also press down on it and slide it a few times they do get dirty.

Changed print wheel (same type as previous) now typing letters incorrectly

Check the "Pitch" selector slide switch on the lhs of the keyboard... it should be on 10, 12 etc position to match the printwheel... NOT in the PS position.
