Hi! I have posted a solution to this problem and I hope you find it helpful and accept it.
Acquire Source Failed...Restart DSM
Hi, OK well try installing the setup as Administrator, also depending on what OS you are using you may have to ensure that the drivers and software are 100% compatible with it. If using Vista, Win 7 or a 64 bit system, it may simply be an incompatibility problem. If this is so install and setup in "Compatibility Mode for XP SP2" do this to the Install .exe and the actual program that runs as well.
Also you may need to first install a driver? You may have to download this too, it may NOT be part of the install package? you must check. now this driver, also may be included in the install software however it may have to be "Manually" installed, have a look in the software for said driver, or download it, and when you plug in the device into the port, it should be detected and ask for a driver, point it to the directory or file and let it proceed, then do as above if required, the compatibility mode thing.
Also to test things it would be a good idea to try to install it on another suitable PC just to check it is actually functioning?
Also if, and only if, using a 64 bit system you may have to set to OFF digital driver signing, press F8 at boot up and select from the bottom of the menu, you will need to do this each and every time you boot, if this is so.
