My Sansui DTV2798 Color Is Not showing Clear! 1 Day I Turnt The TV Off Then When I Turnt It Back On, It Click Back Off & Every Since Then The Color Has Not Been Clearer Since! When There Are Dark scenes on a show or movie the pictures shows even darker! Why Is The Picture Not Clear Anymore?

It sounds as if the color controller/circuit board is becoming sensitive and may soon disconnect. Don't be surprised if someday soon, the picture goes very dark or vanishes completely. Have a technician check it out with his test equipment to locate the exact problem.

It is an indication that you have a problem on the vertical section on the main board. The faulty parts is the electrolytic capacitor which affect the linearity of the screen that's why you encountered that kind of problem.
I've advice you to send it to repair shop or look for a qualified technician to isolate the faulty electrolytic capacitor and do re-soldering for some dry joints on the main board.Once replaced the capacitor your unit will back to normal again.

Color on my sansui dtv2798 stopped working

Check the antenna connection for firmness. Check the set with other inputs like VCR or DVD. Check and replace the tuner.

Sansui model dtv2798 shuts off after one minute

Since the TV comes On, like you mentioned on your post above

it could be from a failing power supply or from other circuits.

Could be dried or bad capacitors , or just maybe cold solder joints.
