Did you try the recessed software reset button? Its a small hole above the button labeled NEXT A straightened paper clip works best to push the button. It will switch it back to the default settings and so you'll need to reprogram the thermostat.
On the Luxpro PSD111, Farenheit or Celcius are selected using the Jumper Switch J2 on the rear of the unit's circuit board:
Open = Celcius
Closed = Farenheit
RESET FILTER COUNTEROnce you have replaced your filter, the filter life counter is reset back to its fullamount remaining value by turning the dial to AIR FILTER and pressing the UPand DOWN buttons together at the same time. NOTE: The counter is also reset bychanging the filter setting value, as described above, to a different number ofdays.

I am afraid you will have to replace the thermostat. From the look of things, the thermostat is defective and needs to be changed.
