Have delco radio head unit model #1618995. has 7 wire plug 2 white wires on end one on end has small plug where do plug it too? has power checked with meter

Hi Steve,
I'm going to need a little more information. That looks like the serial number. I can't find any info on #1618995. What kind of car did it come out of? Sounds like some kind of Chevy. Is it an aftermarket radio? Delco is a bad choice, unless your replacing your radio with an other factory radio. What kind of car are you putting it in?
Let me know if your just trying to put an aftermarket stereo in, radio kits and wiring harnesses are available for most cars. Ray

I have a delco 97BFDW model# 16189895 radio in my 1994 chevrolet 1500 and i am trying to put a pioneer AVH-X1600DVD (2014) into it. I already have it mounted in the glovebox i just need to figure out the...

On that particular model of truck there is special parts that will help you install it professionally. But to help you out there is a silver box underneath the dash that is held in by three 9/32 screws and all of the wiring is there. Please do not cut these wires as you can buy a harness that plugs right in to the wiring on the truck for about 6 dollars. There is a convenient little pocket that replaces the piece you are holding in the picture, then you need an antenna adapter.then a color coded kit to replace the center pocket or cassette if yours came with one. it makes it all work together.Believe me if you go to cutting on those wires your troubles are just beginning. You can leave the silver box out as you won't need it anymore but keep it to put it back in when you sell your truck. If you have already cut wires then get a test light and check all wires for 12 volt power and then you can eliminate those and look for speaker connections. Good Luck !

What color wire from fuse panel to radio on 1989 Camaro

Base line radio,... Orange -hot all the time, Acc fuse ..-20amp. Yellow ,Hot -key on.. Radio fuse -10amp.... Delco, Bose system...Orange,-20amp ARC fuse..Hot all the time, Yellow, radio fuse, -10 amp, hot with key on. Your second orange wire powers your Amp Relay, in the Acc fuse,- 20 amp ..it has a constant hot, or power..so you might be getting power @ the Radio, but Nothing out the speakers.. Hope that helps..

Everytime i reset the clock, it works fine, but when i shut the car off and then restart the car it goes back to 1 o'clock. don't know why it won't stay set to the time i put in

Sounds like the "power switch" is defective...(sticking) Try leaving the power to the radio on when you shut off your Seville...if this works great...there is no extra power drain...if this does not work...then it is cheapest to replace the radio...or if you want to maintain the AC Delco factory radio...there are a few web sites that advertise complete repair for AC Delco radios as low as $125....Hope this helps...:)

1989 GMC Wiring Question

Red is power when switch is turned on. Orange is power all the time (runs the clock and radio presets when vehicle is turned off). Black is ground. The other wires are for the speakers and there should be 4 wires. You only have 3 remaining wire colors so there must be one missing. 2 wires per speaker=4 wires. Check again and add to this post.
