The words,
Yahoo! Mail is down,
Facebook is down,
Twitter is down, etc..etc.. are very common and these are very annoying to hear since we are not reported what's going on and what's the problem is. Few websites like, facebook, twitter, etc.. update their statuses on other social networking sites immediately eg. facebook updates it on Twitter or Twitter updates on Facebook but there are many more websites which they don't seem to bother about this. May be I am wrong when I say "
they don't seem to bother..", but I can say, since they never update their statuses publicly visible anywhere.
There is a website called "
downrightnow.com" where we can check the statuses of few websites including
Yahoo!Mail, Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, and many more though we can't see the complete details about the problem, we can at least know the status/es. Follow this
LINK to visit the website, you'll see several websites listed there with several buttons like "
Details" or "
Report an Issues" on the right hand side of every website name. If a website name section (column) background is highlighted with red (faded orange), it means the website is down as per users' reports. But if the website name section (column) is green, then it indicates that the website is "
up". If you have problem opening a website, say eg. click "
Yahoo!Mail" or the "
Details" button, and check out i.e. the status of the selected website within 24 hours. You can also report your issue by clicking the "
Report an Issue" button. Where you will see three options :
1. This service is down..
2. I can reach the service but I am having problem..
3. Never-mind, the service is working fine..
Click anyone of the links to report your issue, and your feedback will be automatically submitted. You can report issue only once in 24 hours per website.
Hope this helps.
