Try change the tv with another power a/c cord, see if that solved the shutdown problems. If not.The tv power supply board have intermittent shorts in it some where in the tv power supply board.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

When i switch my tv on it turn's itself to standby, i can switch it back on again but it just keep's switching itself to stanby after a couple of minutes.

You need a live input source to the port that the TV is set to, or turn on the tv and switch input to a live input source, anything else and the tv shifts to standby.

MODEL DLT37C3 KEEPS TURNING ITSELF TO STANDBY WHEN

Mine did this to. Opened up the back cover, the power circuit board is clearly visible, on it is a HUGE electrolytical capacitor 26mm in height x 35mm in diameter 150uF 450V. Changing this for a new was the cure for me. Might work for you as well! Please be careful, the capacitor can hold a high voltage even after power is off and cable removed, make sure to remove the powercord! If unsure ask someone that can solder to do it.

You will need a soldering iron (quite powerful) and some solder to change it.

Tv stuck on standby

Power supply probably needs to be replaced if you don't even hear the relay click after the power is switched on.
