Boss BR900CD External MIDI

I am trying to mix music from an external CD player with voice from a connected microphone on a Boss BR900. I can get the CD player music in using the MIDI input, but I cannot seem to get both the CD music and the external microphone inputs to work at the same time. This seems like a simple task. Can someone help?

I'm not totally familiar with that Boss Digital Audio Workstation but it sounds like what you want to do is record both the music and vocal track at the same time. If that's the case I believe you can push both "Line" and "Mic" input buttons (perhaps not exactly named as such) at the same time to record both simultaneously. Otherwise I would suggest copying the music to it's own stereo track (or two individual tracks, each panned opposite from one another to maintain stereo) and then record your vocal track separately. That way you can record several takes and edit down the best parts to one final track.
I hope that helps.

SOURCE: BOSS DD3 STAYS ON AND WILL NOT TURN OFF

It's supposed to do that. An extra lug on the input jack is connected to the battery and/or power supply's ground.

So the only way to power off any pedal is to disconnect the input jack. If you use a power supply and power multiple pedals you can simply disconnect the power supply to cut power and avoid unplugging each one.

SOURCE: Is the Boss Dr-5 compatable with the Boss BR-1180 mini studio?

The beats you have programmed into the drum machine will not play through the midi cable. In order to do what you want you need to connect the audio output from the drum machine to the audio input of the br-1180. What you should then do is connect the MIDI out of the the br1180 to the midi in of the Dr5. This will allow you to start and stop the drum machine with the play button on the br1180. MIDI can be a complicated thing so be sure to RTFM about MIDI for both of your BOSS devices to understand what they can do to work together. Good Luck

SOURCE: Hey i just got a

Troubleshoot. Try different cables, mics, instruments, etc to make sure that its the device and not something else.
Make sure you don't have any digital effects (compressors, guitar effect simulators, etc) activited.
See if there's a way to restore the device back to factory settings. Make sure you backup your recordings first.

Can two d3200 recorders connected and record 24 tracks simultaneously

I will assume you want to sync the two as one. I have one of these sitting in a closet. The 3200 will record 12 tracks at a time if I remember correctly. I believe the Korg will sync to Midi Time code. I just wonder if the midi implementation allows for start and stop code. Anyway, I found this information:
x2. MIDI messages used by the D3200 Note On (Note, velocity), aftertouch, pitch-bend:
The D3200 uses these messages to control effects.
Program change:
The D3200 uses these messages to switch scenes.
Control change:
The D3200 uses these messages to control mixer and
effect parameters.
MMC (MIDI Machine Control):
MMC messages can be transmitted from the D3200 to control an external MMC-compatible sequencer or recorder. MMC messages received from an external sequencer or recorder can be used to control the D3200.
MTC (MIDI Time Code):
The D3200 can transmit or receive MTC messages to
synchronize with an external sequencer or recorder.
MIDI Clock:
The D3200 can transmit MIDI Clock. It can also receive MIDI Clock if you have selected MIDI Clock for the tempo track and are recording the tempo track.

How to connect Gk3 equipped guitar to Electric Piano or Synthesiser ?

A Gk3 cannot be connected directly to an electric piano or synthesiser. The 23 pin DIN connector connects the GK3 / GUITAR to a Roland guitar synthesiser which produces the synth tones . This unit can be connected via midi cable to any external keyboard or synthesiser...to produce different or varied tones from the external synth ........provided the devices are able to communicate with each other...see the midi implementation charts for each device for information....

Where do I download midi keyboard drivers for a technics keyboard.

Normally the drivers you load are for the MIDI interface you use, not the keyboard.

The software for the keyboards are usually either system update programs OR editors for the voices, etc. There are many music editor programs and most have some method of communicating via MIDI to external devices.

Is the Boss Dr-5 compatable with the Boss BR-1180 mini studio?

Midi doesn't actually "make sound". If your trying to record the patterns you made on the DR-5 to the recorder you need to use an audio output(I don't remember if they are RCA or 1/4" on the DR-5.) The midi output would be used to"trigger sounds" in another device that has sounds built in, or you could also trigger sounds in a program that supports midi input.

Yamaha 61 key keyboard midi usb connected but what next

Depending on what you want to do...

If it's only music Mixing, you will have to plug your keyboard via audio jack to the line in of your computer. Then Audacity (free soft) can do the job.

If you want to edit midi file with your keybord you will need midi editor software like Linux-Rosegarden or if under windows try LMMS (all free soft of course).

Good luck
