Water stopped flowing on my frigidaire, replaced the filter (Frigidaire Frigidaire PureSource2 Water Filter WF2CB) and still no flow. Filter was old. About a year and a half or so. Any ideas on how to get the water to work again?

If you by pass the filter does the water flow? I suspect your water valve may have gone bad. Have you tested that by any chance? Also make sure the filter is in correctly and no loose lines and is locked in tightly. I would do two things: make sure the water reservoir in the refrigerator (behind the bottom drawer) is not frozen and check if 120 VAC coming to the water valve solenoid while the water dispenser calls for water.
Here is a link to a page that describes how to test the water valves.

I replace filter, each time the water dispenser is push the filter ejects

It sounds like you may not be getting the filter fully locked into position. Push it in firmly until it clicks.

Slow water flow

I would try the backwash as you suggest. Also, I had to run a few gallons of water through a new filter, for it to work properly..
Hope it helps.... good luck!

Water is cloudy

Hello Kiran - Thank you for allowing me to assist you. Where did you purchase the water filter from? Is there any type of work occurring in your area? If so, this is often caused because of a possible issue with the plumbing. Continue purging out the water and it should eventually dispense clean and clear water. If there isn't any work being done, then it could possibly be a faulty filter. Depending on where you purchase the filter from, you may want to reach out to them regarding this issue. Should you need any further assistance please feel free to respond.

Hi, I have a question

Hello Kiran - Often cloudy water is caused because the water was not purged. Try purging the water lines by running water through the filter for a total of 3 minutes. This can be done either in one big bucket or in various cups. If the water remains cloudy, then I highly suggest verifying that the filter is in good conditions with no cracks or damages. If the filter is working, then I recommend checking your tap water. If these troubleshooting steps prove ineffective, you may wish to contact a professional as the unit may possibly have an issue within the refrigerator lines.

What problems have you encountered with newly designed Pure Source 2 water filter

I spoke with Frigidaire's Customer Service [(706)860-4110] and they said that the filter was redesigned. A customer needs to get a "service flash" number from the customer service representative. The rep will also provide you with local repair companies who will use the service flash number in order to get reimbursed by Frigidaire for fixing/updating the customer's refrigerator... at no charge to the customer.

Replacement water filter won't stay in place.

I too had this problem...the metal tabs in the filter housing need to be bent in toward the center to hold the new filter tighter...I also filed the tabs that rest on the spings down a bit to lessen the tension. So far so good!

It sounds like the gasket is either broken or crimped in some way . you should find the valve under the sik shut it down and remove the filter and check gaskets for crimps or breaks . It could also be just lose as well

PureSource2 filter popped out on its own. Bought a new one because its past due, but cant get it to install all the way. Tried with & without pushing release button that is functional. HELP!! What is...

These filters, Electrolux advises, have been re-designed. Right now, as of this writing (July 5 2013) they are giving out conflicting reports of whether a special installation technique for the re-designed filter will work (doesn't for me) or if their Service Flash RF1210 will cover replacement of the filter housing (Won't for Sears Kenmore models). I'm unable to solve the problem so have written back to my distributor about this whole problem asking them to dig into it with Electrolux.
