Once you have properly connected your camera to your computer, your computer will see your camera (connected and powered on) as a disk drive - most likely listed as "removable disk." Now that you know where to look to find the images, they can be viewed and/or downloaded in a variety of programs. Iam unable to view the pictures I took with my former Easyshare. It says unreconized-file format. Is there a way I can view the pictures taken with my old camera?

Many cameras will not display pictures that were taken with a different type of camera. You should still be able to view those pictures on the original camera, a computer, or a digital photo frame.

If I may make a gentle suggestion, use your camera to take pictures. To display them, use something better suited for the task.

Pictures were taken on someones elses sd card that was then downloaded to a computer & then they put my sd card in the computer & transferred the pics to my sd card to a folder (i think) however, i...

If those pictures were not taken on another A560 then yours won't be able to display them.

All of the sudden I cannot download images from my camera to my computer as in the past. Any suggestions? I also cannot view pictures taken on my camera like I could. It's like the switch is broken.

From now on, use a card reader for downloading your pics. After downloading, format the card in the camera.

How do you look at pictures that you have just taken?

Press the Home button. Touch the right-pointing arrow to enter Playback mode. Here you can view the photos and videos you've taken. You can also rotate, protect, delete and crop your photos and you can protect and delete videos. You can also go into thumbnail view to see more than one picture at a time.

Not able to view pictures!

Your camera card may becoming corrupted. You could try using a separate card reader to try to download your pics or take them to Walmart and use the Kodak Picture Maker to print them or make a CD of them. Once they're downloaded, format the card in the camera for a fresh start.

Trouble viewing pictures transfered to the memory card

The process only works one way...you can download pictures taken on your camera to your computer but you cannot download pictures from your computer to the card and play them back on your camera.

Nikon d60 won't play back pictures

Sounds like your computer or the software program you're using to download your pics is set to automatically erase the card after the download.

File errors

Download the english manual version pdf file and open with adobe reader go to page 84.
When you upload a file that is not taken by this camera to the removable disk, the [File Error!] message will be displayed on the LCD monitor in the play mode, and nothing is displayed in the THUMBNAIL mode.

Make sure that the memory card is formated in the camera not the memory card reader on the computer. Make sure you save your edited files in jpeg file format. Avi for movies. The manual makes it sound like the camera will not read altered files or files not taken by the camera itself. edited files are not files taken by the camera. Good luck I hope this helps.
