Iphone ringtone wont play

After syncing my iphone, my downloaded ringtones won't play. The ringtones that came with the phone work but not the ones I bought. The phone will still vibrate but no sound. When i select the song when picking a ringtone it will not play. Any ideas?

Thanks

Exactly the same issue -- my downloaded ringtones won't play. This is ridiculous!! First they make you pay twice for the same song (once to get it on iTunes and again to get it as a ringtone) and then the double-paid-for tune stops working after a few days?????

I had the same problem. I hooked my phone back up to iTunes and synced my phone. Ringtone disappeared from phone, but remained in my computer's iTunes. Then I added it back to my phone through iTunes by syncing ringtones specifically. Here is step by step:
1. Plug in iPhone 2. Sync Phone 3. Click on iPhone, open Ringtones tab 4. Check "Sync ringtones" box and Select your Ringtone 5. Click Sync
This worked for my phone. Hope it helps. I used my phone to download ringtone.

For BriannaKye. You can go to your iTunes application on your actual phone and go straight to the ringtones instead of picking a segment of a song through iTunes on your computer.

If your ringtones are bought from iTunes Store, you can try redownloading it. Navigate to "Settings > Sound & Haptics > Sounds and Vibration Patterns > Download All Purchased Tones". After that, you can get all your ringtones back.
Or you can make your own ringtone via GarageBand or iTunes.

When I look at what is on my phone in the tone section of iTunes, it shows my problem ringtone as being on my phone, but when I look for it to use it, it is not in my sound files. I have tried syncing and resyncing my phone multiple times, even repurchased the tone to no avail. Any ideas?

Who can help me with my Iphone? I have a brand new Iphone, and I cannot change the ringtone. Can someone guide me how to change it?

First, tap on the "Sounds" icon in the Settings menu and review the list of different instances where a Ringtone can be set to play, clicking "ON" or "OFF" next to each to adjust the controls.
Now, tap on the "Ringtone" icon in the "Sounds" menu to see a list of your available Ringtones.
The default Ringtones available to you on the iPhone are generic ringing and beeping sounds.
Then, tap on any of these sounds to change your settings to play it as your primary Ringtone.

Purchasing Ringtones for iPhone 3G

Once you have the application downloaded to your computer, you have to sync it to your phone.
Plug your phone into itunes, when it shows up on the left hand side underneath devices. select the iphone there. This will bring you to your summary tab.
In the middle near the top you will see different tabs including Summary, info, ringtones, music, etc...
Go to your applications tab. If all of your applications do not show up in that list, go to file in the upper left hand corner and click "transfer purchases from iphone".
If all of your applications appear in that tab. Put a check mark next to sync applications and select all applications.
Click apply in the lower left hand corner and this will sync the application to your iphone. Access the application to download the ringtones.
