Unblock HI I have just bought a Nokia N73 form a friend, and when I took my sim card out of my old phone and put in to the N73. I got a response that my sim card failed to register. I called my service provider and the assured me there is nothing wrong with my sim and that the problem layes with the phone and said it might be black listed, so I moved my sim back to my old phone and its working again. How can I unblock my Nokia N73

Its not blocked its locked - there is a way to unlock it. Change the Phone ID with software called Nemesis service suite. Change to generic N73 PID then upgrade software via nokia site - ddebranded and siorted!!

i have a friend almost has the same problem as yours with N73, and when it turns on it wont even send a single message. try cleaning up the sim slot and the sim card itself, and if this doesn't work you'll need to take your phone to the nearest nokia service center. (please vote for me)

Lock code error
It seems your phone is blocked. Take the phone to your nearest shop that deals with your air time, ie O2, T-Mobil etc. They should be able to unblock the phone for you. They may have to send the phone to the manufacturers which should take no more than fourteen days, and there maybe a charge for this service.

Now your sim card needs PUK number. If it is sim lock then Please contact your service provider and ask for the code. If it is phone lock then you need to reload the software for your phone. But this will erases the data on your mobile. Or click on the below link or copy the URL and paste it in your web browser. And follow the steps.

Look, your phone don't recognize the card try to put another card, if it won't help clean the place of the sim card with a tooth brush its probably dirt.
