Kodak EasyShare Software/Printer problems

I just purchased a Kodak CX7430 camera along with the "not so" EasyShare Dock. Following the software installation, I could transfer photos from the camera and the software seemed to be performing great. However, the only way that I can print a photo is if the desired photos are still in the camera. If I transfer all photos from the camera to the Kodak program and then copy them to My Pictures, the Easy Share Dock printer is not available. I have had two errors thus far, they are: {Error Code 1618x17x2951053040x} and (Error Code 1605x53x79572298} I have installed and uninstalled the EasyShare software numerous times. Any suggestions?

Kodak has been making a lot of changes to that program, due to problems. If you loaded the software that came with the camera, it is very likely out of date. You need to visit the Kodak website and download the latest version of the software.

Here is the software for the camera:

EasyShare Software

Verify that your computer meets the system requirements. NOTE: APPLE QUICKTIME Player is required for some software features. Visit APPLE to download the latest version of the QUICKTIME Player.
Disconnect all accessory devices from your computer (digital camera, camera dock, printer dock, photo printer, card reader, etc.).
Verify that you logged on to the computer using the administrator account.
Close all programs.
Download the software.
When the download is complete, select Start > Programs > Kodak > Kodak EasyShare > Kodak Easyshare software.

You'll need either a USB cable running from the camera to your computer or a Kodak camera dock connected to the computer, and the proper version of Kodak EasyShare software. The software is available for download, at no cost, at www.Kodak.com

What exactly is a kodak camera dock? I have a M893 IS kodak camera and having difficulty installing the software so I can transfer my photos to computer - so I thought maybe the "kodak camera jack" would...

The Kodak camera dock provides automatic battery charging and automatic connection to your computer when the camera is "docked." There is also a version of the dock that includes a printer, but I have found the printer to be poor quality and very unreliable. The dock must be connected to the computer via USB, and the Kodak EasyShare software must still be installed. The dock is a very handy accessory, but it will not solve your problem. What might help though is a visit to Kodak.com where you can get a free download of the latest EasyShare software that is correct for your operating system.

Installing software

when installing easyshare software

during install wizard > choose custom install >

change printer dock to "will not be installed" by clicking on the arrow on the right side

the installation should go thru since it will not install the Printer Dock drivers

Not working after being on dock

My sister had a similar problem after her Kodak software was updated. Kodak had her uninstall all the Kodak software. She then had to reinsall all software including the update. She emailed Kodak support and they helped her right away.
