I need to know if there is anyway to get a screen for my sony bravia kdl-40s4100. the tv still turns on and works,it just has a crack in the screen.I know how to repair it if i can find someone who has a screen,

LOD (lines of death) are a known service issue with the Sony bravia line of TV's contact Sony and cross your fingers. Wish I had better news for you. I had a 52w4100 and Sony arranged me with a service center to get it taken care of.

There is a big block in my TV screen covering 8 to 10 inches. I have a Sony Bravia, model KDL-40S4100, and i bought it in 2008.

if it is a black block, look in the menu under closed captions and see if it is in the text mode. if so change back to cc1 or turn off.

This seet should provide some diagnostic help. The standby light should be blinking a repeated count with a pause. Post that count here. Also, is there sound?

The above info will indicate the problem circuit which will then suggest the remedy.

We were watching tv on our Sony Bravia - KDL-W3000 LCD tv and the screen turned pink. We can still hear the show's but the entire screen is pink. Any idea why?

sounds like the lcd control board malfuntioned. call sony and im sure they will have you bring it to a repair shop at no charge
