Not avoiding the answer but if you google (" re-string a weed wacker video?" ), you can watch a video of how to do it, which may be a lot easier to understand when you see it.

How do we get the plastic cover off the machine? We have removed all visible screws on cover and plate, removed cover over light bulb area, and plastic extension around plate area. We are trying to...

Is this a sewing machine? Plastic covers can be tricky to remove. Look for deeply set screws in deep holes, as well as screws that might become visible after removing covers. Sometimes the screws holding the rubber feet on will also secure the cover.

How do you thraed the line on to the strimmer

Take a length of about 6 foot of line, kink it in the middle and pass this through the hole in the spool. Wind the two lengths of line around the spool in their own divisions and in the same direction. The direction of wind is embossed in the reel and the line should be wound tightly and held all the while. When you have about 6-8 inches left in your hand, bring the cover up to the spool and carefully pass the two ends of the line through the holes, push the cover all the way over while pulling on the two pieces of line and ensuring that the lines stay on their own side of the division on the spool. Fit and tighten the bump nut and trim the lines to just about the cut-off blade.
The lines should trail out of the holes in the direction of the machine's rotation. Try cut with the tip of the line as much as possible. Cutting nearer the drum flexes the line and will lead to early breaking of the lines. Run the motor at a constant speed and rather move the cutting head in and out of the weeds to affect a deeper cut

My hoover steam cleaner will not put down the soap solution? Any suggestions!

The line may be clogged.
If you look in the tank see anything blocking?
No? Okay moving on. You may need to remove a cover or covers.
Find the lower end of the line / tube.
Carefully remove the line.
Now with safety glasses on take a can of air, and blow the the line & sprayer out. Replace all parts you removed.
In the tub, shower or outside. Add vinegar & distilled water to tank let set for 1 hour then see if it will work. Let the water go down the drain or outside. If this don't work you may have a bad sprayer switch.
Please let us know.

How can the sebo k3 be dismantled to fit a new cable ?

I wrote this guide originally for dismantling the Sebo K1, but I believe that with respect to the cable-rewind, the K3 is pretty much identical. So here goes:
1. remove the hose
2. remove the hose-retaining ring
3. remove the flap that covers the green filter.
4. remove the screw beneath that flap nearest to the handle (there's a deeply recessed screw on the other side, but you can ignore that)
5. remove the clip at the back of the machine where the airbelt joins (lever it off carefully with a screwdriver)
6. this is where it begins to get interesting. The airbelt is in two parts - the bulky foam strip and a thin material cover. The cover is held in grooves, top and bottom, running all the way round the machine, by two thin plastic strips around which it is wrapped and which just slip into those grooves. The first challenge is to get those strips, and the covering material, out without damaging them. Just prise one end out with a small screwdriver and work your way around the machine - it's more a matter of patience than anything else. (The second challenge is getting it back neatly!)
7. remove the ends of the foam strip far enough to reveal two plastic clips that hold top and bottom of the body together
8. prise those clips off with a screwdriver.
9. it should now be possible to lift the top cover off. It can be a bit fiddly getting it off over the neck where the hose plugs in, but it does come off.
10. the cable rewind spool is now revealed in all its glory.
11. if you've found my advice helpful so far, here's a final piece... don't try to fit a new cable to the old spool - fit a complete new spool.
12. good luck!

I value feedback, so please remember to rate this response.

I think my motor is broken , can i simply replace

Unless you know what you're doing, you can easily mess the whole thing up. It's not hard to replace the motor, but its a task you have to pay close attention to. If you can, get the motor from Sebo and then take it to a local vacuum shop and have it installed. But first make sure they are an authorized Sebo ship

Replacing broken handle on filter queen vacume

It is always best to have a cirtified & Authorized Service Tech or Center do the work and only with genuine Filter Queen parts and supplies. Both can be found at 800-344-1840 or in Iowa 888-637-4692

If a Authorized Tech can not come out,
  1. Always unplug unit from electric outlet.
  2. Remove top like you were changing filters, also the crown.
  3. Remove cap under handle.
  4. Remove 3 screws from SN plate then remove plate.
  5. Seperate upper from lower.
  6. lift cardboard piece and Silencing Filter.
  7. Now you can remove the 4 screw that hold the handle.
  8. Repace handle and reverse the above steps.

DC15 Animal brush motor not working?

Just had the same problem. Switches and motor checked ok, then found the circuit board on the left hand side of cleaner. The fuse (on the board) looked ok, but when removed and checked for continuity I found it had blown. The problem I have now found is that the fuse cannot be ordered only the complete board. Hope it gets the brush roller going again.

Electric cord

You did not say which model you have, but if upright, most cords went in on the upper part of the handle and you need to take it apart to do that.
