Not possible.

Possible issue with the remote controller unit - main board or sub assemblies. The intermittent behavior seems to indicate that the board is erratic to detect at the same time the individual locks work at times.
So make sure all the connectors to the door and to the main board controller are tight. You can remove the main unit and check for any loose connections or clogging, specially water in all the door units or in main unit. If so dry and test.
Otherwise the main unit is a suspect.

For Toshiba model 32AV635D, press mute once press mute again and hold, at the same time press "P Up" on the TV side panel and you enter direct to the menu to change the hotel mode back to home mode

Before you spend bigger amount, check the battery in the key. Usually a CR2032 battery can be find there. (Open the Keyfob by inserting an object into the key ring holder and pulling the top and bottom apart, Seperate the two halfs, Open the top half to expose the battery... )

Hi I had the same problem. Someone gave me this vcr because they said it didn't work w/o the remote and then the remote stopped working when I got it. I got an old universal remote I had and looked up the code for the Go Video online (you can usually just type in the brand of your remote and they usually have a pdf you can open). Then when I entered the code I was able to go and unlock it. Hope this works!!!
