I want to install a new radio but can't find the main plug because the factory stereo and cassette deck are two different units in two different spots.

the above diagram is supposed to match your radio from the factory. The documentation with the new radio should provide the pins and plugs and what is on them. The correct plug or adapter should match up with the factory harness and work correctly.

There were probably different stereo unit options available but the particular stock stereo in my 2002 Rodeo was a "Clarion" Model No. P1-9993M (cassette player). I've since upgraded to a better aftermarket head unit so you are welcome to my old one if willing to pay shipping (ha,ha).

I have a 2003 Mazda MPV that has the stereo that you could add a cassette deck or MD to...I do not have either, but there is a button for it. I found a guy on the internet that made a chip that plugs into the back of the radio and has a 3.5mm jack on it that will play when you push the cassette/md button on the radio. It is great....sounds just like one that came from the factory.

go to a store were they sell car stero an take your radio an tell them u need a wiring harsent to plug in the radio an plug into the plugs on the car you have dont go to walmart the dont sell them its going to be from car stero store.

Your going to have to replace the stereo and an aft mkt stereo will be the cheapest by far, however you should know that 96-00 Civics keyless entry control unit is inside the factory unit and by replacing it with an aftermarket deck you will lose you factory keyless entry system. If you don't have or use honda factory keyless entry or maybe you have an aft mkt keyless entry installed than I would go with the aft mkt deck.

Yes you can do it.You can use a factory one out of another chrysler or an aftermarket stereo.

There is no easy inexpensive way to hard wire an MP3 player into a factory stereo from 1994.

But there are 3 possible solutions and the first 2 should be less than $50.00

1. Use an FM transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack on the MP3 player, you tune the existing radio to the transmitter frequency.
2. If it is a cassette deck there are cassette adapters also, uses direct contact with the heads on the cassette deck to play the MP3 -- getting hard to find these.
3. Have a shop put an FM Modulator in the antenna line that has a plug that will fit the headphone jack of the MP3 player. Most expensive of the 3 solutions but will have the best sound of the 3.
