Cannot change from german language - HP PSC 1610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

To change the language on an Onn tablet, you can follow these steps:

1. Go to the "Settings" app on the tablet.
2. Scroll down and tap "System."
3. Tap "Languages & input."
4. Tap "Languages."
5. Select "English" from the list of available languages.
6. Restart the tablet for the changes to take effect.

Here are some common German words you may encounter while changing the language on your grandson's Onn tablet:

• Sprachen & Eingabe: Languages & input
• Sprachen: Languages

(assuming this is for windows 7)
Search for 'Region and Language' using the search bar.
Click on Keyboards and languages Tab in the window that appears.
Click on 'Change keyboards'. A new Window of 'Text services and Input languages' shall appear.
On the general tab, click on 'Add' ans select German on the list that appears. Now that German is now available in the list, select German as the default input language in the text services and input languages window. Click OK in all windows.

In normal case to change the language of the operating system press HOME > MENU, then tap Settings > Locale & text > Select Locale and then select the language you want to use.
And
If you have installed 'rom' by selecting a language after purchase then the only way to change it is to install a new rom with the language you want. The issue is that Windows Mobile does not allow the user to change the language of the rom once it is installed.
You need to contact HTC to ask them for a replacement rom that is in English.

• On the page that shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP press TOOLS (the spanner symbol at the bottom right corner)
• Press SETTINGS (The spanner symbol) or LOCALE (The blue symbol) on models that don't have a settings icon
• Press LANGUAGE (the lips symbol)
• There are 3 items on this screen; VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
• To change the voice language to English press VOICE and select an English speaking voice
• To change the text language press TEXT LANGUAGE and select English, or American English if you're in the USA

If the text language is already in German you probably won't know which is voice, text and keyboard. The German word for German is Deutch so when you see this beside one of the items you'll know this is the one to change the text language. This should solve your problem.

then look for the word Sprache it is german for language once there do a reverse translation of the section online and print it's bit of a pain but it can be done

In the menu, you should find the settings for language.

Now, If you don't speak German, this can be a problem.

If you use your computer to translate, you can do it.

Go to http://babelfish.yahoo.com/ and select the languages as required (German to English). Enter the commands you see on the TomTom, and navigate that was until you see the language settings.

you go to phone settings, language if german isnt there. the phone jst cant be changed. sorry for any inconvience

The display language is the language that Windows uses in wizards, dialog boxes, menus, and other items in the user interface. Some display languages are installed by default, and others require you to install additional language files.

First of all the language was Finnish and not German. I managed to get a translation from Finnish to english for the word  kieli (Language).  Then i went to the system menu and selected kieli, then englanninkieli then pressed enter, this changed the language to english. I did not have to do a factory reset. Thank you for your trouble.
