Light or blank page printing

2. Remove the cartridge from the machine.

3. Remove the new cartridge from its protective bag.
Save the protective bag. You may need it later when you remove the cartridge from the machine.

4. Rock the cartridge 5 or 6 times to distribute the toner evenly.

5. Place the cartridge on a flat and stable surface. Grip the sealing tape tab and snap it in the direction as shown. Make sure that the tab itself is detached from the cartridge.

6. While grasping the cartridge with one hand, firmly and slowly pull the sealing tape tab straight out with the other hand to remove the sealing tape completely. Throw the tape away.
To avoid breaking the tape, do not pull the tape out at an upward or downward angle.

7. Hold the cartridge and position the arrow mark on the cartridge towards the inside of the machine shown below.

8. Align the projections (A) on both sides of the cartridge to the guides (B) in the machine (location (1)) and gently slide the cartridge into the machine until the right cover slightly rises up (location (2)).

The right cover moves simultaneously with the action of the cartridge. Do not push the cartridge farther than location (2). Doing so will result in catching your hand in the right cover.

9. Close the right cover and the cartridge will be set in place (location (3)).

If the LCD displays [INSTALL CARTRIDGE], reset the machine by opening the right cover and then closing it.ad0a33c.gifed9d2af.gif

How do you change the toner cartridge on the xerox workcentre pro 423?

You can always find your solution to a Xerox problem at the Xerox Knowledgebase. Here is the direct link to this solution with pictures! http://www.support.xerox.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?St=467,E=0000000002703228701,K=8434,Sxi=4,Case=obj(862)
Solution : Replace the Drum / Toner (Dry Ink) Cartridge
CAUTION: Do not use warm water or cleaning solvents to remove Toner (Dry Ink) from your skin or clothing. This will set the Toner and make it difficult to remove. If any Toner gets on your skin or clothing, use a brush to remove the Toner, blow it off, or wash it off with cold water and mild soap. If not, launder your clothes with detergent and cold water. If the fabric label says to dry clean, inform a commercial dry cleaner that the spot is Toner so that they will not use a solvent that will set the stain.

NOTE: Make sure the Cartridge part number corresponds to the machine model. If an incorrect Cartridge is installed the message 'Check Drum / Toner (Dry Ink) Cartridge Message' will continue to appear on the machine display.
  1. While lifting the upper, right-hand cover release lever of the machine, pull the upper right hand cover towards the right until it stops.
  2. Open the Front Cover on the machine.
  3. Grasp the Cartridge by the handle on the front, and slide it toward you until the top handle is completely clear of the machine.
  4. Lift up on the top handle and slide the cartridge out of the machine.

  5. CAUTION: Do not shake the cartridge and this could cause the Toner to spill.

  6. Before you remove the new cartridge from the bag, shake it vigorously from side to side several times to loosen the contents.
  7. Holding the new cartridge by the top handle, begin sliding it into the machine as indicated in the picture above. Do not push on the handle on the front of the cartridge as the cartridge will jam.
  8. Hold the cartridge in place and pull the Toner seal tape until the cartridge is completely in place.
  9. Close the Front Cover.
  10. Close the upper right-hand cover.
  11. If necessary, press [C] on the Control Panel to clear any messages. The system will initiate a Copy Quality adjustment cycle after you press the [Start] button.

    Remove and ck right cartridge

Once remove both the cartridges from the all-in-one and then clean the copper contacts of the cartridges and then put only black cartridge and check for the message displayed on the all-in-one if it even reads check right cartridge then the issue is with the all-in-one hardware. If it reads insert right or color cartridge then the issue seems to be with the cartridge.

Remove the cartridges from the all-in-one and power cycle the all-in-one and then reset.

Now insert the cartridge and check for the result. If the issue still persists then check the expiry date on the cartridge and once replace the cartridge and check for the result.

    Error- no ink cartridges

First make sure you are placing the right
color cartridge into the right slot.
Most Printers are touchy about the
installation of ink cartridges. If the
instructions say to press the cartridge
into the slot until you hear a loud click,
that's what they mean. If at first you
don't succeed, remove the cartridge and
reinsert it into the slot again and press
on it hard till it clicks.
Then your printer should work properly.
Hope this is of some help. Bud
