Daniele, the drain hole or drain hole tubing, that that flows thru to the bucket may be clogged. To loosen & remove the clog, do the following:

1. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF & unplug the unit.

2. Remove the bucket from the unit.

3. Using an 18" long plastic Zip Tie or something similar (NO wire coat hangers, though). That's appropriately sized to fit into the hole or tube. Carefully insert the Zip Tie in to the drain hole or tube and continue to insert it until you reach a bend in the tube. You must gingerly work it past this bend, until the Zip Tie bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Slowly pull it back out while rotating (twisting) it, This will help dislodge any clogs. As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared for some water to follow.

Completing the above, should dislodge any clogs and water will start draining back into the tank. Be sure that you have the humidity extraction level set on 35%, after you turn the unit back ON.

Pump not working

If you've checked power to the pump and it isn't working, it needs replacing, unless it's blocked with slimy deposits. Try a vacuum cleaner on the drain hose outlet

I have a Windchaser dehumidifier Model WDH928. The problem is that it does not automatically shut off when the tank is full. The water just flows over the tank and out. I've had this for years and it...

The float valve sensor in the bucket is either stuck in the down position or has broken entirely. Accessing the interior of the tank is the only way to know. I would recommend that you use a continual drain hose, but that is not recommended, as the coils need some water in the tank to cool.

The real downside is, that Windchaser has been out of business (phones disconnected, website down, etc) for several months and parts are extremely had to find.

I hope I was of some help to you. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have two of these dehumidifiers. They won't go on automatically. I don't understand the settings. One of them won't stay on at all. It runs and then shuts off.

As per your problem, that the dehumidifier shuts offautomatically - If yourdehumidifier froze, the compressor will shut off automatically. Allow the iceto melt before emptying the tank and restart the dehumidifier. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

Water overflows when filled how do I adjust?

Remove the tank and locate the switch and 'teeter' (that the tank sits on). Make sure the tank is able to move when filled. You will have to adjust the position of the switch to allow the filled (teetered) tank to shut the device off.

Is it possible for you to drain the water into a nearby floor drain using a hose?

Thanks for your question @ FixYa.com

The dehumidifier drain hose does not drain when a hose is connected properly and is set at ``Continous Run``.The light on Continous setting is orange,is this normal? Raymond Benoit

I would suspect the float first, IF the unit is level. But it could also be blocked with gunk and you will need to check the drain holes. I have always found a guitar string is an affective clean out of drain lines and holes.

The orange light indicates that your bucket is full, so if it isn't then it is most likely the float above.
