I have a ge universal remote and have a toshiba tv dont know codes and how to programe it could you please help?

Which GE universal remote do you have? Does the remote use a 3-digit or a 4-digit code? To program most GE remotes for a TV, turn on the TV. Then press and hold the Code Search or Setup button until the indicator light comes on. Then press and release the TV button. Enter the first code available for your device. The indicator light should go off then check if the remote controls the functions of the TV. Repeat the above steps if the code doesn't work or doesn't control all the features of your TV.

Toshiba 4-digit TV codes are: 0159 0178 0109 0120 0181
.............0105 0049 0095 0170 0260 0358
.............0394 0924 0012 0095 0117 0141
The 3-digit codes are 170, 181 or 641 for Toshiba HDTVs.

Please note that the remote probably only has codes for devices that were released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your TV is newer than your GE universal remote, you may need a newer remote.
