Vizio Has a big issue with all models working with each other, if either you have another vizio product in your home or a close neighbor, the remote signal is probably reaching your TV,

My Vizio VU37L HDMI ports not working. AV ports work. Heavy lightning storm last night, TV was off when I went to bed, on when I woke up.

If you send the board to us we may be able to fix it.

What you're looking for is having to replace the small SMD IC that the tracks from the HDMI ports lead to.

Sometimes that is all it takes, other times it needs more and just today I've had a case where we just couldn't do anything as the damage seem to have spread to the large processor.

(it wasn't on a Vizio board, it was on a Sanyo, but the concept is the same)

I clicked a button by accident last night and now my Vizio tv reads no signal and a small display in the top right corner reads AV. How can I get my tv to read cable signals again??

What input is the cable connected to? (Coax antenna In, component video, composite video)

Look on the remote or the TV itself for a button marked Source or Input. Press this. For some TVs, use the up/down arrows to select the input to which your cable is connected. (TV = coax) On other models, you may need to press the Source button several times to advance between inputs. (I'm assuming you have a remote that works for this feature on the TV; otherwise, use the TV button.)

I hope this helps.

(common modern TV setup: VCR on AV1, DVD player on Component 1, PC to the HDMI/DVI and coax to the antenna in. The source button is needed.)

Using a Vizio VU37L and I can't seem to get my sound working from the computer to my tv. I'm using a 3.5mm to red/white RCA audio cable and I get no sound.

Hello, try to use the 3.5 mm directly to the TV, the reason this might not work is because you are trying to use two different inputs at the same time.

HDMI ports do not work

Try another HDMI source and see if it works. It the second source works then its a compatibility issue with the first device. You also want to make sure what ever is connected to the HDMI is set for a minimum of a 480p output as HDMI will usually not compatible with 480i. If you still have audio and video from component and RGB which means your sustainer boards (the boards on the two sides that powers up your screen) are working. All you have to do is replace the main board. you can buy parts at Vizparts.com, Vancebaldwin.com or shopjimmy.com. Make sure that you give them the correct model and serial number so they can send you the correct part.

50" Vizio Plasma reads "No Signal" on all inputs?

Well, your TV is still under warranty. That's the good part.
The only thing I can recommend without voiding the warranty is leaving the TV unplugged for 30min. That way, the TV can reset itself and hopefully correct the problem.

If that doesn't solve the problem, it's time to use the VIZIO warranty.
