3 year old Sunsui SV-3220LCD, shortly after I bought it the picture sometimes favors the red in a way that it spills over every other colour for a while and then is back to normal again for a few hours, lately it looses brightness for a while and then back to normal, but today the brightness is gone and no mater what I tried, like going to menue and increasing the brightness, did not help. Please advise Dimitri

Go to the Sony website and check out the correct antenna cable and scart lead configuration for your set up. I did and with a few simple connection changes it was like getting a new TV.

SOURCE: where can I buy remote

Before you buy another remote try this;

This only takes about a minute and will restart 1 in 3 "Dead" Original Remote Controls.

Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.

Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!

Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to
each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.
(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)

Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.
New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.

Step 5- Try the remote.

Special Note:

If you have a digital camera, camcorder or camera phone you can test the remote to see if it is emitting a signal. Face the remote towards the lens of the digital unit until you can see the front of the remote. Depress any button on the remote. You should see a light (steady, blink or flashing) being emitted from the remote.
If you do then the problem might not be the remote but the sensor on the set.

Sansui old model TV SV2110K get locked 3 channels and original remote lost. Now I want to clear the lock. and some channels are not showing now a days. pls advice....

Use the buttons on your TV and go through the menu and do the same thing as you did when you had your remote. If some of the channels are not showing you will probably need what is called a digital box or receiver that you can buy from your Local WAL-MART

Any operation outside normal parameters would be considered "broken". Most broken TVs are repairable by a competent servicer for less than the price of a new one. A symptom like this however is the exception to the rule. It may very well be not cost-effective to repair. This is why most repair shops charge a bench fee for evaluation. If it is worth the peace of mind to know for sure then the investment of the minimum fee would be necessary.

Karcher 3.97M Short cycles after trigger is released.

Dear csdamman,
There is a valve called the spill-valve. It is often called the control valve. This valve activates the micro-switch. When the gun is released, pressure builds up and compresses this spill valve. At the same time it puts off the micro-switch. This will then stop the machine. Now when the spill valve is faulty it cannot hold compreesion under pressure so it starts de-compressing and starts the machine again. This goes on in a cycle as you explained. So you have to change the spill valve. If the spill valve that operates the micro-switch is part of the upper head,...then the whole head must be renewed. Myself I rarely service Spill Valves. The best thing is to renew it. From your explanation it seems that you did not take notice of this Spill-Valve. Infact when you mentioned Pressure Switch, I do not know if you are refering to the spill valve. If you are....then saying that the Pressure Switch moves and operates freely, does not mean that it is OK.
In certain machines in the outlet...there is a small valve, coloured black and red or green and yellow. This sometimes when faulty, it gives the fault you mentioned. Sometimes an inlet valve gives the fault you mentioned. But from my expirience it is most of the time that the Spill-Valve is the fault.
Regards,
Fulltech.

Sony Vega gone red

I'm having the same problem, red picture. Did you find a repair person and if so what was the problem and cost to fix it? My television is only 4 years old so I'd prefer to fix it if it's cost effective.
