How to download Motion DV Studio to transfer video from Panasonic NV-GS 250 camcorder to Windows 7?

You might be connecting the Camcorder using USB interface. The drivers for USB streaming is not available for Vista and Windows 7..
Operating System also matters..
If you're using XP OS, you can install the driver from supplied CD and use Windows Movie Maker to transfer the recordings using USB interface.
Vista, Windows 7 - You need to use i.LINK or A/V interface to transfer the recording. When using i.LINK with Vista, you can use the Picture Motion Browser software.
I think this will definitely help you to connect the Camcorder..

I right clicked on the CD in windows explorer and hit "open". I then ran each of the setup files individually after right clicking and hitting "run as admin". this seems to have worked.

Disconnect the camera from computer, remove any software that might have installed and restart the computer.
Go to Panasonic's website and download the latest software that matches your camera model and operating system.
Install all of the software and don't connect the camera until the software asks you to or after you have completed the software installation.

The Panasonic NV gs 15 can only be used as a webcam with the USB cable.
You need a 1394 firewire / DV cable to transfer the video to your pc.

first of all you should have your cd driver came with camcorder and as far as i know your driver isnt compatible with vista so better try to use windows xp. install the driver, plug your camcorder using your usb. upload your videos from your camcorder to your pc using ULEAD MOVIE MAKER. edit it and save it with any various types of videos. finish!

please try to first use in your friends win 98 then you think smething else.

Usually things are color coded but if not you should use the Fire Cable I'm not sure what color it is but Its usually a USB cable. (It might be called "Hard wire") Hope this helped. =)

Hi, I purchsed Panasonic NV GS-70 in 2004 and facing the same problem in transferring videos to computer. I tried for firewire cable option as well, but the camcorder does not have a firewire port.

Can anyone suggest what kind of firewire cable to be used for it.
