I have a two year old timex indigo which the green light feature no longer works. The stem no longer presses down. Any suggestions will be appretiated.

Hello Pat Trevino,

My best suggestion is to send (or take) your watch
to your NEAREST TIMEX authorized service center.
(see Returns below: Contacts: address & phones)

The FIRST watch I ever bought for myself is the TIMEX Automatic... Still keeps good time after 51+ years
(certainly better than I do)...

Since then I have gathered a few more watches,
chronometers & chronographs.

Takes a licking & keeps on ticking (John Cameron Swayze)

How do you set the day for a timex i control reef gear watch?

There are two ways to find the user manual for your Timex watch.

1. Find your watch on the list below and click on the language link for your manual.

2. Find the 3-digit module number located on the caseback of most Timex products and click on the corresponding language link for that number in the Module Table at the bottom of the page.

Manual for Timex Reef Gear H2Y023

I have a Timex Reef Gear watch...can't find a model number anywhere. (The watch back has the 3 digit code 940, one they don't list on the Timex site).

My watch has two stems to adjust the time, day, date, etc. On mine, you turn the top stem until what you want to adjust appears in the digital window, then you pull out the stem one click to adjust.

Self-adjustable bracelet watch

If you are ready to take that risk, here is how you can do that.
First- get watch on your wrist and by squeezing the bracelet count how many links you have to take out to make it tight enough (say 4 for example).
Check the sides of a bracelet. You will notice that the upper bands metal is flipped over the bracelets side. Take tweezers or small pliers and unbend one of these. Try to do as little damage as possible.
When it's done, you will see two metal staples inserted into the bracelet. You have to pull them out. While pulling out, remember how they where positioned, as you will need to drive them back in the same manner.
So, when the staples are out, do the same on the other side of bracelet. Now you have bracelet in two halves.
Count off 4 links and undo the staples in joint of 4th and 5th link in the same manner as previously.
When links are out, take the staples and drive them back into the bracelet koining two ends together. You have to do that exactly the same way and position as you took them out.
When all staples are in place, bend the metal back over to the bracelet sides.
BE WARNED: as you gonna do it first time, be ready that you can damage the bracelet or can not put it back together.

Good luck.

Adjusting clasp on a Timex watch

Check that clasp from both sides and you should see spring lug ends. Use small pin to get them out(by pushing in). When pin is out you can adjust bracelet.

Good luck

Change day

The trick is to turn the ring to the "Date" setting, Pull the stem out once for the Month and Date. Pull the stem out (hard, but gently) a second time for the Day of the week. Each pull will be confirmed by a 'beep. Be persistent and good luck.
