It's just a practice with every plotter that i've worked on.The guide lines are absolutely inacurate. For every individial z6100 may be different but in mine the the right side of the paper must be about 3mm inside from the tip of the guide arrows(the paper must cover 3mm of the arrows).

Error message to "Load Paper"

Push something thicker than a plain sheet of paper through. Cut a side of a manilla folder into a 8.5"x11" and let the printer try to grab it during a copy. After doing it's normal "grab the right side until it's skewed and stop", continue to try to push it through.

My epson 710 artisan gives an error message that there is a paper jam or is out of paper, when I try to print a photo, it feeds through 2 blank 4*6 photo papers. There is NO paper jam when I check it, and...

Hello, Your printer makes a "grinding sound". This is usually due to two things:
1. A dirty printhead rail. It is either ink residue or dry. Try gently cleaning it with some water.
2. Paper pick up roller(s) not picking up. Clean them with a damp terry cloth towel or a multi-purpose cleaner.
If you have unable to fix it please contact me at 1800-204-4427. I can help you out.
Good luck!!

The printer is not taking in the paper but i can hear it run. error message "load paper in paper iput tray" keeps cropping up even when paper is taken out and reloaded

Try a new set of paper after removing the ones which was already exposed to air for long. Also, please notify me about the outcome.

Has been setting 6 months , has new ink and paper

Ink jet printers are meant to be used regularly, at least once a week.
If it was used before you put it away for 6 months, the ink is dry on the jets.

First try the cleaning function. If you're lucky, after 2 or 3 tries it may work again, and the more you use it the better print quality will result.

Failing that, there are cleaning kits you can purchase.
They consist of a cleaning solution you can inject into a used-up cartridge.

Or better yet, you can take it to one of the places where they refill ink, and for a fee they'll get it going for you.

How do you fix the scewing on a aflico ricoh 1018 fax/copier machine

Check to see that media is correctly loaded in trays and that all width guides are correctly set (not skewed).

Make sure that the paper trays are correctly fitted.

If you have a bulk paper hopper than make sure all the paper is neatly stacked and fitted properly against the walls and guides of the hopper.

Try turning over the stack of paper in the tray. If you are using letterhead paper, try printing from a different tray.

Do not use previously printed paper or torn, worn, or irregular paper.

Make sure that the paper is not damp or creased.

Check the media specifications. If it is outside of the recommended specifications, problems may occur.

Make sure that the paper path does not have any small piecesof paper or labels stuck in it. Also if you have used any labels, look for signs of gum or glue inthe paper path.

The entire printer path may be dirty and needs the path and rollers cleaning and vacuuming. Printers and copiers both suffer from an accumulation of paper dust and need regular cleaning.

Out of paper message

there is a paper guide that supports paper on the tray, if you look closely you can even see the paper sizes that corresponds with your printer either (lettter size or 8 1/2 x 11) if this is not set correctly then you can get skewed on your prints, if i understand you correctly, or kindly elaborate some more

X1190 - Paper consistently misfeeds, sheets are skewed to the right

On the bottom of the machine there is a dark plastic piece that redirects the incoming paper, and it can easily slide out of place. Turn the machine over and see if it's out of alignment.
