There are dozens of transistors in the unit... we can't guess which you might be refering to. The power supply of the 1200 series mixers have fuse before each part of the supply for the preamp sections.
The two transistors next to the big capacitors
On the cicuit board will be a nomenclature. Also read ALL the nubers from the transistors and I will decode them for you. Near transistors you will find numbers like TR1 or similar... If you find things like VR1 those will be voltage regulators. I will be able to decode the numbers and tell you what the type and the true industry number of the part. Get back to me with the numbers/letters.
Make sure to read ALL the numbers from the transistor body.
It does say Q3 and Q4, I believe, it is the same values.
Those are typical for transistors... NOW what are the numbers on the transistors themselves?
I can not see number that is why I ask, becaue it blown apart, it marks on the boad, Q3 and Q4, it mush be the same again arangement
Usually there is enough residual pieces to piece together to read some numbers... can you read any numbers/letters on the pieces at all? Could you photo the area? I am still looking for a schematic... I can find schematic for XR1200 but that doesn't have the amp. Sometimes they write a partial part number under the parts as well as the Q designators... I will keep trying to find schematic... As the owner, Peavey will usually send you schematic. I suspect you are going to find a lot more than just those two transistors blown.
This is a long shot... I have found the schematic for a Peavey CS800 amp which is probably very similar to that in your unit. It has a switching power supply. Here is link to schematic: http://www.schematicsunlimited.com/downl...
Download this and compare the general configuration. Your Q3 and Q4 would LIKELY be what is shown as Q100 and Q101 on this schematic (refer to page 5 on this schematic at roughly D6 on that sheet. These are IGBT transistors and will be expensive as transistors go.
Peavey likely reused their basic design in your unit.
