Ive lost my remote so need a replacement or universal so i an switch the tv to the dvi-i input

Unfortunately, the Input button (to change the source from INPUT 1, INPUT 2,
INPUT 3, INPUT 4, Front Input, HDMI/DVI, and last-active channel) is only on the remote. If your universal remote was built 6 months after the TV was released, try a different code for RCA/Thomson TVs (assuming the remote has an input or source key). Thomson built the TV.

If your universal remote doesn't have an input key, you probably need a higher end remote (one with that key or one that can be programmed from a computer). Get the RCA 4 device universal remote from radio shack. model #RCR4383N $10.00. It wouldn't work using the emerson codes in the manual. Let it find the code automatically. input button on bottom will switch to and from AV input.

You may need to manually switch the input on your tv via the menu on the front panel switches if your universal remote does not have an input button or it just wont respond.

search the tv around to find button on the tv there must be for program and volume configuration

I asume your game systems and dvd player are hooked up via the rca inputs.So all you would need to do is purchase a universal remote,program it for your tvand press ch00 which should be the video input.make sure your dvd or game system is on so you know if you are on the right channel

You need the original remote controller to be able to switch input modes.Universal ones usually don't work. If you don't have the original remote and can't find it ever or if it is too expensive you can buy an rf modulator ( very cheap) and connect your dvd player, game console etc) to the modulator then connect the modulator to your antenna with a coax cable. This worked for me. It placed the connection to channel 4 and other cable channels are still working,

You need to purchase either a replacement remote from ORION or Ebay, OR you can purchase a replacement universal remote and program it for your TV. Make sure the Universal remote you buy has an input or source button. Radioshack carries several for 8-15 bucks.

the sony rm-v310 universal remote solved my problem. its about 15 bucks and worked on my symphonic 20" tv. bestbuy should have one.

Sorry to have to tell you bud, there is no other way except with the original remote. Go to http://www.remotes.com and enter your model and you will see what you have to spend if you want to use your tv fully! Its about %* bucks + shipping. Good luck
