How to remove front panel on Maytag MAV7200 AWW - Washer?

Remove 2 screws at bottom of front panel. Lift panel from the bottom outward. Panel will drop down and out. Remove two screws under top to remove top

The washer was made from 2000 to 2001

MY MAYTAG WASHER IS MAKING A NOSIE WHILE WASHING A GRINDING NOISE DON'T KNOW IF IT THE BELT OR BEARING? WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

gringing noise is never a good sign check the main bearing these are notorious for having bearings go and if it is bearing find a new machine its not worth fixing it is costs more then the machine is worth to replace

No solutionyet....need free advice.......

its the spin brake making noise at the end of spin. once it gets humid out it will start all over again. its very comm. with this unit.

its the brake, just as long as it stops, dont worry about it, made a web page that has pics on how to replace the spin bearing on the maytag atlantis washer, after searching the net on how to, finding the manual, not explanatory, i decided to make this a simple 1 page web site, with lots of pictures, i hope this can help someone else in doing this job. since it would cost too much money for a repairman to do the job, better to buy a new one instead, i tackled the job. since it basically takes apart the whole machine, it might help others even if they dont have the spin bearing problem but other parts to replace,

This is a very com. prob. with this unit. its is expensive to fix and will come right back when humid out best thing to do is just put up with it.

Yes you definately need a new pump assembly part number 21001906 $59.95. That is a maytag part number and it is a very common repair. The new pump is a revised design and will look different but will mount the same. Axcess through front panel.
