Reset my Pocket PC

A Reset of your Pocket PC is equivalent to "Restart" of a desktop computer. Carry out the Reset only in such unusual cases as when a button or tapping the screen does not respond. When your Pocket PC is reset, no data will be deleted. All stored information like Addresses, Contacts, Tasks or Programs are still stored in the Pocket PC memory. To Reset the Pocket PC, the power must be on. Then press the Reset switch with the stylus, then release. Your Pocket PC should function properly thereafter. PDA e310, e330 or e740 together with Windows NT 4.0

The Toshiba Pocket PC's e310, e330 and e740 are designed to work together with Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Millennium, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Microsoft Windows NT4.0 is an older operating system, which does not work together with the Toshiba Pocket PC's e310,e330 and e740. Technical background: The Toshiba Pocket PC's have a USB and a Infrared interface to communicate with a Computer. Unfortunately, Microsoft Windows NT4.0 does not support USB nor Infrared. Windows NT supports a serial connection, but the serial interface is not available for the Pocket PC's e310,e330 and e740. Note: There is the possibility to synchronize a PDA over Network or Modem but the ActiveSync Software, which is responsible for the synchronization, will need a "first sync" to establish a "partnership" with the PDA. This "first sync" can only be done via USB.
