SC 553 is a fuser error code, could be thermistor or thermal fuse or fuser lamp

Install the pcl 5 driver. Not the one that comes with Windows. Driver is available at ricoh-usa.com

There are certain models that can duplex and certain models that can't. Generally if a Ricoh copier can duplex it has a D after the name (like 2018D). If there is no option for duplexing on the screen or the ops panel, that model doesn't support duplexing.

The manual says that this is a chage roller leak.
Means the the high voltage is arching to ground or drum somewhere....usually pinhole in chage roller

It's in the USER TOOLS menu.

If the scanner has not been configured, or network settings have changed, the setup for scanning on this unit is unfortunately quite difficult for a novice. the manuals are readily available at Ricoh.com, under Downloads, but this will not help very much with the scanner config.

Try by switching off and on the machine.
If every time you switch on the machine, SC824 re-appears, please replace the NVRAM on the controller board or the controller board itself.

What country are you in and what machines do you need parts for??

Try adding the scanner's IP address in the scnhosts file in the TWAIN folder. Format is similar to the windows hosts file. You'll see a commented out sample entry, just modify that to suit your needs.

This may or may not work for you; we had it working under this configuration but then it stopped for no apparent reason. also note that scanrouter isn't supported under vista. Only advice I've been given so far is to revert to sending scans via SMTP - not ideal!

On every fax i've worked on, you cannot edit groups. You have to delete the group and start over.
