Our neptune washer on spin cycle moves all over the floor.. this problem was reported within the first few months and several attempts have been made to fix the unit by Home depot service on the extended warranty...(which has expired) all documented.. Now they have taken the washer off the pedestal which the unit was displayed on at the time of purchase and say there is nothing wrong... This is after replacing the control board twice and almost a third time there saying nothing is wrong.. they must have thought there was something wrong if they were trying to fix it.... They said it was our floor since it is in an upstairs laundry room on Linoleum which has been replaced with ceramic tile, one of the service agents even checked the floor while the washer was running by using a glass of water and the water did not move. they said it was the way we loaded the washer even to the point of telling us that we should not wash unlike sizes together like sheets and pillow cases, towels and wash clothes or sox and underwear!!??? Please let me know what can be done,, The reason I purchased the units was the height on the pedestal (I have back problems) and the efficiency less water and detergent.... Plus they were highly recommended.. Thank you Kathy Mantia

A friend had this problem and was ready to buy a new machine. Sometimes it worked and sometimes not. I took a last look before new machine and found a coin that would intermittently block the pump/discharge port on the machine.

SOURCE: Maytag Neptune Series MAH5500BW loud noise during spin cycle.

very loud in spin cycle can mean a bad rear bearing, not something a homeowner would want to try to replace, parts would exceed 6-7 hundered dollars. you may have some extended part warr through the manufacture. still probly gonna be a 5 hundred when the labor is added in

If it’s an FAV6800A I think you may have a clutch malfunction with your machine. To verify if the clutch has malfunctioned we need to perform a quick check. well the final spin does go faster than the other cycles pending on the age you may want to tilt it over check under it to see if you see any grease on the floor if so your transmission could be getting ready to go out. and make sure your not over loading the washer

Trouble balancing a used neptune front load washer

It might not be the leveling of it. Front load washing machines have a lot of power when they go into their spin cycle. Depending on your floor and if the washer is upstairs it is going to shake and make a ton of noise. When I worked for Sears as a tech I had to explain this to a lot of people that just got their first front loaders. Some of them would say that it sounded like a plane was flying threw the house when it would spin. Others said it was like an earthquake. Front loaders don't work good in mobile homes either. Not saying that you have one. Anyway, when these go into spin the have so much force coming from them and all that force goes straight to the floor. If your floor is weak or that washer is in a spot where it is weak it's going to shake. The best thing to do is go under the house and put in a support beam right under the washer. This will get it to lighten up a bit and maybe even fix all together. Give that a try and see how that does. Let me know if you have any other questions and let me know if this was helpful for you. Good luck.

Spin cycle on my neptune MAH2400AWW shakes violenty

First make sure ALL four legs are 100% on the floor. Is this a recent problem that has come up?Has it been moved at all before this ??If this washer developed this all at once than you either had moved the washer out of its level, meaning that all four legs are not touching the ground firmly. The Neptune problem your having is un-common unless its on a pedestal.

First thing to check is the filter,
DISCONNECT power
open the bottom pane (3 screws on bottom front lip)
in the cent is a large removable filter ,
set a pan or rags under it ,there will be water.
clean out any debris an be sure the pump impellers move freely.
let me know if that fixes it.

Noisy spin cycle

several points. did you put in transit bolts for move and forget to remove them? is machine sitting square on all four legs? is it sitting on a suspended floor? if joist spacing is wide, then this can result in vibration.
