The volume in the right ear phone has suddenly become lower than in the left side. I have tried other earphones in my MP3 device and they are ok. I have also tried these earphones in another device and they still have the same problem.

SOURCE: scratching sound from earphones at high volumes

Sounds like the beginnings of a rubbing voice coil in your MX160. Verify this by trying another set of headphones on your amplifier/MP3 player/etc. If the "scratching" sound disappears then your music source is not the fault. PLEASE REMEMBER...never turn music source volumes up past 60-65% (think of 1:00-1:30 on a clock face). If these setting are not loud enough, use a booster or move up to a unit with more audio output power. On a larger scale...How did I blow my 100 watt speakers with a 50 watt amp? It's easy....clip (overdrive) your amp....Glen

Hi,
This earphone ( ear buds) is common type. You can find it, in some cellular phone /mp3 accessories store/shop in your town ( although they are not original part) .

Volume control does not change the volume when using earphones

Most often, the ear phone might be the problem.try getting a new ear phone preferable, one from another manufacturer,if it does the same way, the problem will be from the earphone port.

My ipod crackles and my hearing seems to be getting damaged

Id say you should go see a doctor. But for now id say that you should do your best to not listen to it for a while as it can affect hearing. try to use full on speakers if you can. On you tube there are a few Sub-Woofer sound tests you can do. Try playing one (low volume) and repeat. (not a song one)

http://www.teenbuzz.org/ also to hear which frequencies are out of range to you click here. ( click the second icon on the list further down the page)

But yeah go see a doctor. Perhaps some ear drops.

The sound comes and goes from right part of headset

The left/right problem could be a bad connection on the red/white XBOX cables. Check to see that they're plugged in properly and not loose. You can also try plugging an MP3 player into the red/white jacks to see if the problem is with the headset or the XBOX. If it works ok with your MP3 player, then the headset is working fine.

You can get a new headset controller cable on our web site. Click on Replacement Parts in the left menu for the headset model you own (X1, X3, or X4).

Right earphone wont work.

It is very likely that the problem is in your MP3 player and not your ear phones. If it is still under guarentee, then take it back to where you bought it. If not it may be that the earphone jack plug is faulty? It is a trade off between the cost of repair against the cost of a new one. These things are often glued together so opening it could break it anyway - sorry

Only have sound on right side

I don't know if you used new earphones but if you did I would try to clean the inside of the mp3 player then reconnect youre earphone. If you still have the problem return to the store, then the hardware in the mp3 itself is wrong.

Musit volume too loud through headphones

Download mp3gain (freeware) and it will adjust the volume in all your mp3 files down to a reasonable level. Try 84 dB. Then sync them onto your phone.
