Hi! Welcome to www.fixya.com.
Watching live video from a remote location
All you need to view the live video broadcast is a web browser and an Internet connection.
Open the web browser. Type the address shown in the WebCam Monitor Log, including the port number. Press Enter. The media player will be launched and you will start receiving a live feed. There will be some delay for buffering. To have your family and friends watch the live feed, just tell them the address and port number. As mentioned above, you may have to configure your Internet router to make your video broadcast available outside your local network.
Upload Video/ Audio and photos to an FTP Server:
With the Upload feature, WebCam Monitor can send video recordings and photos to an FTP server whenever noise or motion is detected, or at regular intervals. Storing files on a server makes for easy storage, maintenance and analysis. Storing recordings and photos on a remote server also provides extra security, since the files are safe even if the computer running WebCam Monitor is stolen.
To upload recordings and photos to an FTP server:
If Monitoring is in progress, click Monitor >> Stop Monitoring. Click Tools >> Options. On the Options window, select the Remote Monitoring tab, and click the Configure button for Upload.

Enter the name and login information for the FTP server. Check Enable Automatic Upload. Select the type of files you want to upload from Upload What. If you select Overwrite Photo Files, every photo uploaded will replace the previous one, using the same name. This feature can be used to create a web page that shows a constantly-updated image from your camera. This option is available only when Photos is selected from Upload What. Click OK, then OK again to close the Options window. Receive email notification:
The E-mail Notification alert sends e-mail with a photo as an attachment, either when Motion and Noise is detected, or at regular intervals.
To configure email notification:
If you would like to receive email at regular intervals, click Tools >> Options >> Monitoring and select After Every n. If you would like to be sent email when motion or noise is detected, click Tools >> Options >> Monitoring and select When motion or noise is detected. Check E-mail Notification. Click Configure to open the E-mail Notification Settings window. Specify an e-mail address in the From field. This is the address the messages will be sent from. Specify the e-mail address of the recipient in the To field. You can list multiple addresses here, separated by commas. If you want to include a photo with the e-mail, check the Include JPEG photos with email option. If you don't choose to include photos, you will be simply notified via email that an alert was triggered. Click OK. You can start monitoring by clicking Start Monitoring with Alerts on the main screen.
Hope this resolution fix the problem on your computer. Thanks for contacting Fixya. Bye for now.

Dell V510 printer worked fine wirelessly until we got a new Belkin Router

The printer's IP address most likely needs to be changed.
Check the Belkin's IP address range (it maybe 192.168.2.***) and configure the printer's IP address accordingly.

F5D7231-4 stopped connecting to Internet via downstream router

Why did you change it from dynamic to static? My suggestion would be to put it back to dynamic and let it grab a good ip address from the gateway. The other option is to contact whoever managed the network at your apartment and see what they will charge you for a static IP address.

Belkin Wireless N router/Embarq 660 modem/No internet

Make sure your physical connection is correct. From the modem, the ethernet cable should plugged in to the Internet/WAN port of the router. And your computer to port 1. Access the setup page of the router again and Enable the MAC Address Clone setting. Clone the MAC Address of your PC there then power cycle the router and modem. You should be all set.

Using 2 routers

You may use your wireless router as an Access Point:

1. Connect one of the LAN port of the Belkin to a LAN port on your Voyager. If the link light on both side are not coming on, try using a cross-over cable. Important: Do not connect anything to the WAN port of your Belkin.

2. Configure the LAN IP address of your Belkin in the same subnet as the Voyager. By example, if your Voyager has 192.168.0.1, you may give your Belkin 192.168.0.3.

3. Disable the DHCP server on the Belkin since the Voyager most likely already has one.

4. Configure the Wireless parameter of your Belkin as you would normaly do.

Using this method, your wired and wireless devices will be able to communicate together since they will be on the same network and your Belkin will act as a bridge between the wired and wireless network.

Laptop keeps disconnecting then connecting every so often.

Has the computer ever stayed on long enough to connect to the internet?

Is there a wired computer working when attached to the router?

If not, if possible please try to connect the laptop wired to the router as a test and tell me if it works.

I am trying to determine if your router works with the internet before considering the wireless connection simplying the initial problem. Once the router works wired is time to try the wireless. Once the wireless works unsecured you may want to change the router and wireless adapter to secure the wireless network. So this can be a three step process.

Wireless modem not connecting to everything on the network

this sounds as if either the router is not set at enable DHCP which gives your pc's and x box an automatic assigned ip address, so check in the routers settings via your web browser that DHCP is enabled, also go to your wireless network card and go to the properties, select the TCP/IP line, click properties again and make sure automatically obtain ip address is ticked, ok and close window. Do the same with the Xbox in the network settings and make sure that automatically obtain ip address is highlighted and automatic DNS is set. Lastly make sure non of the pc's network setup is set in a way that other pc's connect to the internet through this computer type set up, they should all be set up using the network wizard using the 'this computer connects to the internet through a gateway' setup, which is your router, but if your laptop is Vista, then everything should have set up automatically when a connection to your router was found. Lokk in the routers DHCP clients and look to see if all your pc's and the Xbox is listed and given IP addresses.
