My Sony Ericsson w850i ask phone lock code when i insert a sim card

If your phone displays the 'Insert correct simcard' then your phone is currently locked to particular network. You need to unlock to use it with other network.
There can be many ways to Unlock your phone. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way. I will suggest the website Unlock-zone.com which is doing good service and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums.
I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked.

your phone is locked to another operator. contact the operator its locked to and ask for unlock code. most operators gives this for free 12 months after purchase date

The PUK code is a code associated with the SIM card and not with the phone.

You have only two ways to get rid of the PUK code. Either you replace the SIM card , or you call phone provider that issued the sim cadr (eg. At&T, Virgin, Tmobile , Vodafone, Telecom etc.)

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call the phone company that released the SIM card, they can retrieve the PUK code from a database for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card provider technical support to unlock the SIM.

please help unlocked my sony ericsson w580i phone. someone gave this phone and when i put my sim card in it is asking phone locked code.

you need the phone unlock try online at topsony.com

how did you unlock it?

you can take the phone and ahve it unlock

Insert any other sim in ur mobile if that is working fine then u need to swap the sim
