Sears Kenmore Smartheat Elite HE4 Dryer emitting "squealing" sound and drum struggling to rotate when turned on. Operating and drying fine up to this point.

Probably the Moisture Sensor Bar has failed.

It can come from two things, belt for sure when you over load the dryer or it is getting worn an second the rubber wheels the drum sets on can squeal.

Sounds like the belt that turns the drum could be broken. I'd check that first.

My Kenmore Elite dryer keeps beeping..just going through the end of cycle alarm-high,low,off...anyone have any suggestions?

m dryer did the same thing tonight and it was the door switch luckly i wiggled it and it came back on

Mine has an "auto dry" button. It says underneath, "Press & hold 3 seconds..." to unlock control. I did it, it worked.

replace felt seals on drum

repl/ thermistor, also remember that these dryer have smart sensor drying,, there are 2 metal strips inside use rubbing alcohol and clean this will fix your probablem

Manual might be available on line type in your make and full model. Could well be the bulb that blew. Sounds like the door switch thou i see by other postings some times the filters can cause a similer problem
GUEST. 1. start switch is faulty...oops is it eletronic?it so disregard that. 2 drum is to tight 3 motor or switch on motor faulty

Control panel moisture 9/10 times.... or check the fuse under the lower front panel ($12 sears)
