Unable to resolve "scanner error

Try unplugging the printer from the computer(leave the mains Plug connected:-) print 4or 5 test pages then re-connect the printer. This should do it.

The problem is most likely with the laser scanning unit. Check for damage to Flat Flex. Cable between formatter PCB & laser Scanner unit. Checks the FFC ends for damages. Repair the ends / Replace FFC if required. Service or replace the laser scanner unit if problem persists.

Turnoff the printer.
Hold Cancel button and start/Copy button at the same time.
Turn on the printer.
Release the buttons when display shows "Permanent Storage Init".
Wait till the display shows "Ready"

Go to hp website and look for firmware update. The model M1217 had the same issue which was fix in a firmware update.

Supply memory error is referring to a defective toner cartridge. Actually it's the electronics chip that is attached to the cartridge. The printer gets toner information by reading the chip. Replace the cartridge.

Hey I'm using a HP LASERJET M1120 MFP. But every time I turn on the machine the screen says "Scanner Error 20". How to fix it up? Thanks!
