I have uninstalled the S Planner calendar from my Galaxy Fame mobile phone, and installed the 'A Calendar' app. Although it seems to have installed O.K. I am unable to add an event to the calendar. Wh

I do not believe you will get this calendar to work or sync with the Samsung Galaxy Fame. Can you even open the newly installed Calendar app? The reason you cannot find a My Calendar folder is it does not exist unless you created it. The S planner and Google Now were to function as appointment schedulers etc. Personally S Planner is one app I would not uninstall without making sure you did not have anything sharing any of the information in the Planner. It has been known to cause functionality issues with other apps. There are a plethora of apps that will not work with the Fame due to its lack of extra bells and whistles found on other models of the Galaxy affecting functionality. It does have many cool (to me) gadgets to mess with, Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, and Accelerometer (do not expect to use these without their respective apps.)

How do I remove Facebook events from my Samsung S Planner calendar?

I had this problem on my Galaxy S5 - There's 2 steps to fix it.
1) Remove the declined event from Facebook
In the Event page, you'll see buttons for "Join" "Maybe" "Decline" and "..." click the ... and choose "Remove me from guest list"
2) Clear out calendar data and Resync
On your device, open the full Application Manager (usually in settings / Applications / Application manager / All ) and look for "Calendar Storage" - choose "Clear Data" (and "Clear Cache" too, to be safe)
Open the Splanner app settings and choose sync.

Hope this helps!

Calendar issues

Try to reinstall Calendar. If that doesn't help do a Custom Reset (you'll lose all personal data though).

Yahoo! Calendar Problem (code 40) The Yahoo! user nouser does not exist or does not have a public Yahoo!

For years, I have maintained two yahoo calendars: a work calendar and a personal one. I open the work calendar every day and then, in a different tab, open the personal calendar through Sharing.

A week ago, my personal calendar was inexplicably updated to the NEW format. I can no longer access it through Sharing. I am told:

Yahoo! Calendar Problem (code 40)

The Yahoo! user nouser does not exist or does not have a public Yahoo! Calendar.

I have updated Firefox for the new Yahoo. I have re-assigned the Sharing. Nothing works. What can I do?

Synchronizing Outlook to my T5 but not my T5 to Outlook (without erasing any data on either device)

A possible workaround: I agree that the current synchronising behaviour is not very helpful - especially as it is not very clearly documented - I nearly lost all of my personal calendar data completely! What I have done for now (and this may not be acceptable to you) is to allow Outlook Calendar to synchronise fully with my TE, but then mark all my personal appointments etc. as 'Private' (tick box in lower right hand corner of details). Tedious, I know, but hopefully will get easier as I go along... It is even possible to set up a 'filter' in Outlook so that the personal data is not displayed [Customise View: Filter / Advanced / Field: Sensitivity = Normal] All your personal calendar data on the Tungsten will now be marked as private as well, so if you want to hide any 'really' private records on there, you'll have to set Security to lock the handheld on power-off until you enter a password. Like you, I look forward to Palm resolving this issue by installing 1-way options on their conduits!
