Can Flash be Forced to On

Hi, I just got my Sony DSC F505 on Friday and I love it. Does anyone know if there is a way to force the flash to on so I can illuminate subjects with a very bright light behind them. I couldn't figure out a way to do it. Thanks in advance. Blex

When you push the little button on the back of the camera with the light in the middle of it, three things can happen. On the LCD you will see the little lightning bolt. Pushing the button will toggle: Flash FORCED ON : (lightning bolt steady on LCD) FLASH FORCED OFF :(lightning bolt with circle around it and slash thru it) and AUTO FLASH : (no lightning bolt at all)

My sony cyber-shot DSC-H10 flash stopped working. The flash pops up like it is going to work, but does not flash. I can take pictures but with noflash. Can you help me?

You flash is in ' Flash forced OFF ' position.Press on the flash control button repeatedly until one of the four modes are selected.

1.Flash Auto - Flashes when there is insufficient light or backlight ( Default Setting )

2.Flash forced on

3.Slow synchro - The shutter speed is slow in a dark place to clearly shoot the background that is out of flash light.

4.Flash forced off - ( Your current mode ).The flash automatically pops up and strobes when using the flash.Close the flash by hand after use.

I bough new sony cyber shot DSC Tx 10 camera but could not found the forced flash option. there is only automatic flash and no flash. How can I found forced flash??

In Intelligent Auto mode that's true, you only have Auto or Off. If you want more options you should switch to Program mode. There you can select Auto, On, Slow sync, and Off.

How do you repair when the flash in DSC-H3 is not responding?

Hi,

Check if the Flash unit in the Camera is popping up automatically.
Check if the Flash is set to Flash Forced Off. If it is set to Off, then set it to Forced On.
Please check if the Camera is not set to the following settings:
REC MODE is set to Burst or Exposure bracket mode.
Scene Selections modes like:
ISO High Sensitivity mode.
Advanced Sports Shooting mode.
Twilight mode.
Fireworks mode.
Set the flash to Flash Forced On when the mode dial is set to M or when Landscape mode, Beach mode or Snow mode is selected in Scene Selection mode.

This should resolve the issue.

Thanks for using FixYa.

HOW TO ADJUST FLASH SETTINGS

Hi,

The Flash mode in the Camera can be changed by pressing the Right Arrow button (>) continuously which will change the settings from Flash Forced ON, Slow Synchro and Flash Forced OFF.

Flash Level can also be adjusted in the Camera by selecting the Flash Level option from the Shooting Menu of the Camera.

Thanks,

Flash no more working: error code

You must have an E:61 or E:91 error. You will need to send it back to Sony but, that is what warranties are all about. I am sure it will be fixed quickly and for free!!
