I cannot find information on my router to change my password. My password doesn't work anymore

connect your pc to the router with ethernet cable.
open web browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 (if this doesn't work try 192.168.1.2)
you should get your router's home page.
when asked for user and password type admin for both.
if that doesn't work try admin and password
go through settings to where the password is and change it.
save the changes and you're done.

There should be a small reset button on router which will reset to default,u will need. A pencil or similar to press it, the default username is usually admin and password is. Admin

to change the router password you need to connect to it either with ethernet cable or wireless then open web browser and in address bar type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 (depends on router) once router page opens type admin for user name and password if that doesn't work try password for password once in just navigate to password settings and change it.

• Open command prompt->type ipconfig and enter.check default gateway.

• Put the default gateway in the address bar in Internet Explorer and enter...then you will get the router login page.

• Enter the default username and password for login.

• select the "Wireless Settings" link on the left-hand side.

the default dlink password is password or 1234
if that doesn't work then the password has been changed and you will need to reset the router to factory defaults. hold the reset button for 30 seconds while powered on.

Which password do you need?
do you need the wifi key??

or the router password?

Try the default login information (make sure the computer is connected to the router):
http://192.168.1.1/
username: admin
password: [leave blank]

If this doesn't work, you will have to reset the router to it's default settings. There's a small reset button on the back. It is very small, it needs to be pressed with a pen.
This will reset to the default login information that I provided above.
PLease note that this method will reset any settings that have been already set in the router and you will have to set it again. These might include, port forwarding, wifi security and key, mac access list, etc.
Do not reset unless you know everything that needs to be set up again.

Power On your router after after Connecting your adapter, turn on the router, wait for few seconds and then connect the router to your PC's Lan Card Port from one of the ethernet ports (not the labelled internet port). Open your internet browser and type in http://192.168.0.1 (if it doesn't work, use http://192.168.1.1) and press enter to open the page, once it's loaded, you'll be presented with the login page, in the USERNAME box, type in admin and leave PASSWORD blank (empty) and then press Enter. Once you are logged in, go to the admin section and change your password. If Admin panel isn't available, you can look for configure or change password.

First you log into the router setup, then you can change the user and password.

You need to factory reset the router by holding down the little button on the back of the router (use a paper clip to push it). After doing so it will reset the password to the default which is admin.

try http://192.168.0.1
