SOURCE: How to fix problem with Sony TV.When turn on sony

I just fixed one with the same problem. The light flashed 13 times.
I had to cut one trace on the hv board to one of the lamp drivers.
There is a slight but barely noticeable darken line across the screen but the tv stays on now and the picture is good. I don't
know if the lamps can be replaced but why bother now.

I got a brand new sensor put in my sony bravia kdl 32l500 and my remote model y0922021765 still wont work how do I reprogram it

Hi Stacy,
If you have replaced the sensor correctly and it is not working means either the remote control is not working or the TV is not responding. Please press any key on the remote control and see it through your mobile phone's camera. If the remote control is working you will see the IR led flashing. Secondly, if the TV is not responding please check the voltage on the legs of the sensor, if you are handy with a multi meter and let me know.

Remote doesn't work

Check your remote batt first. if batt are new, check infra red light from remote using camera (selular cam etc). If infra red flashed on cam, that indicate remote is no problem. Call technician to check your tv.

When on button is pressed on the tv remote tv may or may not turn on, but it can be turned on manually with on/off button. Even tried a new remote, with no luck. Any idea? Thanks.

When you changed remotes, did you use the same batteries? The batteries in the remote may just be almost dead.
Clean the Plexiglas in front of the infrared receiver on the TV.

Dish 20.0 IR Remote works for awhile then it

I MAY have a solution!! We too have the VIP722 Dish Network receiver. Ours is the "K" model. I called the place where we purchased the TV and they said that the "brightness" on the TV may need to be turned down. He walked me through this, and it worked. The remote WORKS now!! Our TV is a 40" Sony Bravia that we purchased a couple of months ago. Evidently at night, the TV was so bright in the room, it interfered with the Infared Remote control. By turning down "off" brightness detector on the TV, the IR remote was able to send the signal to the receiver. Our TV is on a cabinet and the receiver is directly underneath on a shelf. I hope this solves your problem and anyone else's that may have this problem with the remote.
