Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.
This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.

Common Symptoms include....
•Screen looks 3D
•Colors don't line up
•One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
•Screen is bowed or warped.
•TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.

View 3D on wd-y65

Ur tv does nt support 3D. U can still see 3D if connected to PC. With power DVD 11 u can able to watch anaglyph 3D.
Dnt get confused any standard screen (e.g. CRT (big boxes with curved screen)) can view anglyphic 3D content.

MITSUBISHI WD62525 - bad fuzzy picture with lines and waves - have MonLink hooked up to DTV. Picture does not improve even when playing a DVD. Used same MonLINK with another tv and picture was great !

If your TV looks 3D, warped, or distorted it likely has a convergenge problem.
If however it just looks dull, washed out, redish, greenish, or blueish or if it looks like objects on the screen have halos the fluid in the lens has soured.
You can search google for parts or you can get the parts with repair instructions from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com

We need to figure out how to get it off of the 3d setting we just recieved this tv from a friend of ours and we are trying to figure out how to view it without the 3d our tv is a mitsubishi big screen...

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

Mitsubishi VS-55609 distorted Picture Flickers

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs. To get fixed either call in a local TV repair company or goto sites such as Tv Repair Kits to get a repair kit with instructions. My mitsubishi projection screen tv has a blurred picture. You can still make it out but the colors are off. I took the back off the tv and the red and blue lights inside have a squiggled picture inside of...

If it looks 3d and will not adjust in the customer mode(convergence) you have a convergence circuit problem.

Get me the model number off the back--it should begin with a VS or WS or WT followed by 5 numbers and I will tell you what may be involved fixing it.

For most of the WS & WT series sets I have start to finish step by step instructions for this kind of repair.
