Step 1: Please place unit face down on table.
Step 2: Remove 2 plastic covers on back stand by prying up on the covers. Step 3: Remove the 6 screws holding the back stand on.
Step 4: Grab back cover at the top right corner by the silver and black. Push on the black plastic and pull up ******* the cover and it will pop right off.
This works - I am not a tec and I did it

You were right by removing the support bar, that's the first step. Now all you have to do is use a small flat head screw driver and pry open the case on the edge between the black and silver plastic. Don't get to aggressive, take your time going all the way around, it should just pop off. Have fun.

Should be compartment covers on the bottom of laptop. 2 smaller covers, 1 is wireless and the other is RAM. Power down your laptop, unplug power cord and remove battery. With cover removed and grounding yourself to prevent static electricity transfer, see the holders for the RAM undo them and pull the old RAM out and replace with new. Be sure of compatibility. The new should install with snapping sound when the holders are correct. Reinstall the cover and battery plus power cord. Upon powering it up it should recognize the new hardware. Hope that helps..

Hi! My Hp Pavillion a1710n desktop emits a series of never ending beeps every time I turn it on, and nothing appears on the monitor. I checked and the monitor is plugged in. I dont know what's going on.

The problem with RAM or DISplay card(It can be Moisture problem) or Processor Fan is not working properly. Open the CPU case, locate RAM, remove the ram by opening the both side clips. and put the RAM back as it is. If you have Graphics card on your CPU then remove the Graphics Card also and put it back as it is. Start the PC with opened case to check Processor Fan is Rotating or not. If Fan is not working properly then you have to replace the Processor FAN. Fan ok but same problem persists. you have to replace RAM with new one. as well as Graphics (Display) card.

I already have 512 ddr2 667 ram .So now I want to add an extra 256 ddr2 533 ram to my Intel D102ggc2 motherboard .So can I able to do this .

Open your computer's case and check for a free slot on the motherboard. If there is any, then you can add another memory module, no problem with that.

Has pc100 128mb and tried to go to Pc133 and wouldn't accept, what is the max memory i can put on this board

the details of that board are sorta sketchy, it could be an intel 810 series or 815 series. theres really no way to tell except by opening it up and looking for the largest exposed ic chip with intel stamped on it, and look for an 810 or 815 designation on that chip.

if its an 810, it may not support pc133 ram, depending on the exact 810 model. if its an 810, it also will not support more than 256 total ram.

if its an 815, it will accept 512 total ram, if not more; however, you will have to go with no more than 4 ram sides- meaning, if you have 2 double-sided ram sticks, you will not be able to add anymore. if you have 2 single sided sticks, and a 3rd ram slot open, you may be able to add a double sided stick in the empty slot for 1+1+2=4 ram sides.

I want to increase ram, what do I get

First, you have to find out the max of ram that you can add to your pc. Then go to the website crucial.com and run a test where it will tell you what memory and how much you can add. If you decide to purchase the memory and after you recieved , open the case and locate the empty slop where the memory is going to be install. It should be the small slots not the white big ones. Then carefully open the case from the memory and then put i on the slot of the pc. Turn the pc on and then see if it recognize it

How to add memory to my pc gm5472

You need to open the case and see how many sticks of memory are in the slots. Your machine should come with 2GB. (probably 2 1-GB sticks)
If you are running a 32-bit system, it's useless to increase the memory above 3 GB, as the system will not see it. For a 64 bit system, you can add a lot more.

Cant open the case to my HP pavilion 700

First, turn off the PC, remove the power cord from the back of the PC to remove the 115 volts then push the power button for a second or two so the capacitors will discharge. This is important because the residual charge can cause Motherboard damage especially when changing the RAM. You should follow this process ANYTIME you enter the PC case to make changes, etc.

To remove the side panel on a Pavilion 700x series:
Only one side panel allows access to the inside of the Pavilion case, the left side if looking from the front of the PC. The left side panel has knurled thumbscrews, not machine screws. Loosen the thumbscrews, they are designed to stay attached to the side panel, place your hand on the middle of the side panel and with inward force push the panel towards the back. The panel will slide and inch or two and you can pull it free. This proccess is easier if the PC is unplugged (push the power button on the front of the PC after pulling the power cord to dischard the capacitors) and the right side of the PC laying on the floor. This allows easy access to the left panel and allows light to enter the case from above to change/add the RAM you want to install.
