Hello,

it souds as if the run winding on the motor is bad, all dryer motors have a run&start winding on the motor, the start winding comes on at the beginning to give teh motor a extra little ummph to start the motor then the start winding will cut out. What your experiencing is the start winding working but the run winding not., the motor can not be repaired but only replaced as a complete assambly

GE dryer starts but..... stops
What you describe is either a failed evenheat board or a failed motor relay.
Please post the complete model number from the machine and I can help you narrow it down. There should be a wiring diagram inside the console with voltage checks also.

My dryer's cotton/time dry/wrinkle free option know turns freely. Dryer will not start.
Take the other knob from the other switch nd put it in that place. It should turn then . You will be able to turn it on by a pair of pliers until you get a replacement knk.

Kemore Dryer will not start
the dryer is almost 15 years old! the drum rotates on two or three felt bearings in front and a ball bearing in the rear. the belt may have broken, the tensioner may have loosened. the motor goes in one direction only and starts off a centrifugal start switch. If the motor doesn't get up to speed to open the start winding, the machine just won't go. check the belt first.

Problem when drying gets to 1 minute mark
This is happening when you selected the wrinkle prevent option or you set it to wrinkle release cycle.what it does is it is tumbling with no heat to release the wrinkle in the clothing. This is normal.It could also be normal part of drying in "regular" cycle
