SOURCE: push start button on control panel - machine does not start

only 2 things can cause this.
1 the control is set to lock out mode. just hold the lock button for 5 seconds and it should go back to normal mode.
or 2 the controls user interface has an internal failure. its the part that has the switches and tells the computer what to do. either way call whirlpool and see if its still covered by their warranty.
of yeah and the 3rd thing is you have no power to unit. make sure the outlet is good by trying something else in the same outlet, like a light or hairdryer.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Cabrio washer will not drain

Oay, first your going to want to get most of the water out by tilting the unit forward and using a cup to get the water out. next disconnect the water, power and drain hose, if possible take it outside, if not, have a bucket read. get move the unit forward and get behind it, it is easiest if you just tilt the machine forward and lean it against something so you can get under it. when you get under it you will see the drain pump on the left side. there are 2 blue wires on the pump, pull off the connection and check to see if the wire has come loose, if so its an easy fix take apart the connection by the tab on the top and and remove the sleeve and simply use a small screw driver to push the wire back inbetween the prongs. other wise use a 5/16 bit and loosen the drain there will be 2 spring clips on the very small rubber joint, (be aware that if you are inside dont pull it off at once it will spill about 2-4 gallons of water depending on how much you got out),  pull that off and check inside the drain with your finger and inside the tub. if nothing is found, replace the pump.

SOURCE: washer whirlpool cabrio message code f50,washer

F50 - This is a motor stalled failure. If this persists you will eventually need to call in a service engineer to repair it as the machine will eventually stop working altogether.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washer F1 Error

F1 means the control board is shot. Call whirlpool and they should take care of the parts and labor even though your machine is out of warranty.

My washer ( Whirlpool Cabrio M: WTW6500WW) will not start, cancel, rinse nothing! I can't even properly diagnose it because every button I press gives me an error chirp?

it sounds like you have a bad touch pad,try unplugging the machine for a few minutes to see if it resets the board,i would call the factory on this, they've been having problems with this and they might give you the part for free but you'll have to pay for the labor.

You will need to replace the lid latch assembly. The control is not getting the proper response from the latch. Here is the part to order.
I also have a service manual available if you should need it.
