To turn on your Motorola i856, you just have to hold the red button on the right (under the music symbol), which is usually to end a call. That should probably do it.

The i856 is an iDEN phone.  iDen runson BOOST Mobile/Nextel ONLY.  It cannot run on t-mobile, which is a GSM system.  It is not possible, even if you unlock the phone, they are completely different radios and networks.
