first press Up Volume Key on phone and hold it on lock screen.
then press on the home button and hold it.
Last the power button and after it starts up just release it.
A menu will come up.
just click on home button to select up and down in the menu.
go to third option named as "DELETE ALL USER DATA".
It can take up to a couple minutes.
the phone will restart and the unlock pattern problem is fixed. *note this will reset phone to factory settings, but it will allow you to access it again.
The only way to get around this is run the recovery
How to do this 1. Turn off the phone 2. Told down the UP Volume button and power button 3. Wait till the screen comes on and then off 4. A menu shows up and click restore/recover 5. The password is gone.
